GLEE S05E19 WATCH PARTY

You can listen to snippets on YouTube. Basically she said that Lea was a massive diva

Romy

The songs in this episode were so good. I listen to Take Me Home Tonight all the time (doesn't hurt that that song is so good to begin with).

mightstill

I have read it about 5 times now .

Naya & Lea this is the Episode where it all went down. Chris Colfer wrote this episode poor Chris he didnt know what was coming. in naya's book Naya says Lea didn't like the dogs the amazing legends TIM CONWAY!! because they where holding production down and talking and laughing with everyone. Naya also said that Lea made Tim Conways granddaughter cry and she way a big Glee fan , she didn't like that lea was yelling at her grandfather.page 186- 188 great read and I believe it. then Naya spoke her mined to the producers because lea locked herself in her trailer and stopped production and Naya was feed up that no one was working and she was on her mark. anyway I can go o and on, but Loved the episode . and NAYA didn't come back until season 6. SMH. DIVA LEA!! NAYA and the producer apologized to each other and naya was never FIREd.

Linda

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the storyline of the last episode of this season...at all, lol. But, there's some good episodes in season 6 amongst the absurdity.

Jennifer Lawrence

What sis she say about the ep? I doubt I’ll ever get around to reading it lol

Zach Davis

I listened to the audio book - I usually won’t because I read at a much faster pace and they anger me, but hearing Naya tell her story in her way was so beautiful and it made her sort of come alive in my mind again while I was listening. I do agree though, I struggled not to cry while I was reading.

I don’t hate this episode, it’s cute. I was having a pretty rubbish morning/(whole day really) and this was a nice little forget about it moment. I do still hate the end of this season tho. The Naya being blonde thing almost seems to go with her being nice in this episode, but I agree, I preferred her with dark hair but I don’t dislike the blonde. I think it’s cool that Chris Colfer wrote this episode and it’s pretty good (better than some of the episodes the writers wrote to be fair). I’m just so ready to get to the unhinged beauty that is season 6 now, season 5 seems to really drag out for some reason, even tho I think it’s technically shorter.

"Well, you don't need a publicist when you've got Snix on your side. If there's one thing I know about, it's 'cultivating an image'. In high school I was a huge bitch but also most popular. I was voted "best shoulder to cry on" and "most likely to poison someone"" 🤣🤣🤣 I love Santana (and Chris Colfer for writing this line).

As others have already mentioned, Chris Colfer, aka Kurt, wrote this episode and choose 2 of the songs; memory and lucky star. (I think) The glee creators approached Chris about writing an episode and he was originally against because his didn’t want to put words in his co-stars mouths but obviously agreed. That’s why it focuses on old people and animals, 2 things that Chris loves. Not to mention the jokes about his appearance and Kurt’s fashion is all something Chris does joke about. Chris has said that he wishes that Kurt would stand up for himself more and I’m wondering if he meant not just with Bullies. I like that he gave Kurt a storyline that makes him feel good, and doesn’t resolve around Blaine. That happens a lot from now on. The cast has said that Chris is the most protective of his character so it’s not a surprise. It’s not the best written episode in the show but it’s definitely not the worst. It’s especially impressive when he was the most inexperienced writer that glee had. Santana had blonde hair because a few episodes back, Naya randomly dyed her hair but they didn’t want Santana to be blonde so she wore a wig for the past few episodes. But Chris let her show it because he had a say in this episode. Unfortunately this is last time we see Santana as a publicist. BTS, Naya gets into a small verbal fight with a crew member over Lea locking herself in her trailer because she didn’t like the dogs or the elderly guest stars always improving their lines. So she (Naya) was temporarily written off the show. (Read her memoir to find out more) We won’t see her again until episode 2 of the next season. But her and that crew member apologized to each other not long after this so all was well. Also when does Mercedes not sound good on a song?!

Selma Jabr

I forgot how sweet this episode is!!!

Tiffany Tews

Haha true!

Heida

Funny how he still managed to “kill” someone despite this restriction. The original “Peter” never even got to mutter a single line. lol

Jenn

Not the biggest fan of this episode mainly because there is soooo much bts drama, but kudos to Chris (Kurt) for writing it.

Gigi

Chris Colfer did indeed write this episode. He has said that he was given a great deal of freedom in writing the script; his only restrictions were that Kurt couldn't break up with Blaine and he couldn't kill anyone. He wanted to do a story about underdogs and made sure to include his two favorite things in life: Animals and old people. After reading so many stories about people mistreating/neglecting animals, it's nice to see someone like Mercedes being a responsible adult and recognising that they weren't in a position to take care of a dog. As good as Sam's intentions were, he definitely was not thinking it through. Rachel and Santana were both horrible the majority of this episode. But I do like the idea of Santana being a publicist. I also think she only has the blonde hair in like one or two episodes, if I remember correctly. Only one more episode of S5 and only 13 episodes in S6! I can't believe we're so close to the end.

Heida

Naya wrote about the filming of this episode in her book, (Chapter 7). I definitely recommend reading it or listening to the audio book. Hearing Naya tell her own story is magical, even though at times very hard to hold back the tears.

Annie Willow

I love this episode, but there was so much drama between Lea and Naya with this episode.

Haughtbreaker Nic

This episode was written by Chris Colfer (Kurt). It’s just one of his many writing credits! He’s a New York Times best selling author several times over for his children’s series. When he was given the opportunity to write the episode his immediate response was that he didn’t want to put words into his coworkers mouths. He eventually decided to accept though, and was given the restrictions that he couldn’t break up Kurt and Blaine and he couldn’t kill anyone. He decided to write about the character he knew best…Kurt! If you know anything about Chris, you know he loves older actors and animals, so this episode was all him. There were several amazing actors that played characters at the home. June Squibb played Maggie. She’s had a long career in movies, television, and broadway. Tim Conway has been in many movies and television shows. He was on many episodes of The Carol Burnett Show. Billy Dee Williams is probably most famous for playing Lando Calrissian in Star Wars, but has also been in many more productions. If you can’t tell, I know way too much about Chris and this episode. haha
