those 2 episodes were always super weird to me.. i liked the idea of doing a beatles episodes (or two) but the fact that Cory passed during the s4/s5 break and they just came back with those episodes? and a klaine engagement? when eveyrone knew what happened... like i guess it was some contractual issues, and i know that Lea was okay coming back and they all supported her idea but... i can never look at those episodes in a good light bc to me it was just so fake?(i guess?) idk... like the actors/crew/writers had to pretend that nothing happened... i guess they also had to take time to write the good and perfect episode for Cory.. idk... now i'm not ready for the next episode.. wonder if i'll cry later than usual lol

I know I’m in the minority but I hate The Beatles. That said, I think the cast did a great job on their songs. The writing was good in episode 2 because Ian Brennan wrote and directed it. He’s the co-creator of the show and I have no doubt he put some effort into and explains why you noticed that he took a few jabs at the previous episodes he was not involved in. Yes, I enjoy Artie's voice and I think his duets with Kitty were in fact, the highlights about the Beatles' homage but it's like they forget about people and they they cram the songs into a single episode somos back to back. 🧐

I was a few episodes behind but wanted to catch up before the Quarterback. It's an episode I have issues watching for obvious reasons but it's also probably my favorite Glee episode because it's raw and real and beautiful.

Demi is gorgeous. They looked so pretty in Glee. I always forget how much I loved them in the show. Their voice is incredible, I don't know when or why it started sounding way heavier.

What a shame you didn't get that Smash reference. Maybe it should encourage you to react to that next, especially since there's only 2 seasons unfortunately. Smash is an amazing show full original songs as well as songs you've heard before (like Glee in that sense but not really).

It's been two episodes and I haven't heard Marley sing. They gave Kitty and Artie two duets last episode just like when they give Quinn two duets with Artie in the same episode back in S3. Glee doesn't know the meaning of balance and variety. I still feel tey could have donde better with the songs and weren't particularly memorable to me. Ok and what's with Sam's weird faces? If I'm being honest, I don't care about anybody at this point except for Santana; anything she does is 10x more interesting than everybody else together. I'm glad she's carrying next episode.

Naya didn't mention having an eating disorder during Glee, though. she said it was duting her high school years. It was Heather who confessed recently she had one during season 2. Anyways, we can see how thin a lot of the cast is getting during this period, Santana, Rachel, Kurt, Sam.... I bet the pressure of being on TV is very heavy.

Dang, I feel like we got here sooo fast! I remember when the first 3 episodes of season 5 aired distinctly, after that it’s all kind of a blur. Prepare for emotional damage in episode 3, it hurts. Bring tissues. Funny enough, I saw Funny Girl with Lea Michele on Mother’s Day. She was SPECTACULAR! Even better than I expected, my husband actually cried during the finale. She was born to play that role. She brought her son on stage for curtain call and showed his face for the first time, she hides it on Instagram for his privacy, but he looks exactly like her, it was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!

We get a little more of Demi but also she does disappear same as Adam Lamberts character too. Even some of the ones in glee club just aren't in some eps & are just randomly back at times.

You should hear Demi's first 2 albums they're pop punk/pop rock vibes then she went pop/rnb/soulful for a while now she's back to a pop rock vibe. Defs a bit different to Here Comes The Sun. This was also Demis return to acting at the time since she went to treatment at 18/left Disney & then concentrated more on music she was an X factor judge & stuff but didn't go back to acting for like 3 years so she was around 20-21 during this. The writers this season aren't great idk what happens or what happened behind the scenes but some characters just randomly go & it's not explained & they come back randomly it's weird. Hate what they did to Tina tbh

How did I completely forgot about the iconic commercial in this episode?😂 the way I constantly quoted "I like yeast in my bagel, but not in my muffin" to myself to cheer me up😂😂 I also totally forgot that this EP is the introduction of Demi's character😮 and I agree, i dont feel the chemistry between Santana and Dany. But that may be because I'm a hardcore Brittana shipper - always have, always will be😀 Now that Rachel got the role, the new york storyline will get soo good imo. Not that it was before but stuff is gonna happen... can't wait for you to see it!😀 And i told you you gonna love Kitty! I love when shows do that, taking side characters or rude characters and giving them a character development. Those usually always turn out to be my favorite characters from shows (like with glee, Santana and Kitty) Ok but anyway, good luck to you, to myself, and to everyone else for next weeks episode and don't yall forget your tissues🤧🥲

I love the Kurt, Rachel, Santana (Kurtcheltana) trio, my favourite trio , we get to see more of them fr now which I love. Hate to admit that I know the yeast-i-stat commercial word for word 😭. I’m gonna have to watch next weeks episode after school bc I can’t show my face after watching it due to the amount I cry, and I have two exams so I can’t be going into them in that state 😂

What I liked about these past two episodes is the growth that they're showing in the OG characters (except for Tina, they really did her dirty in my opinion). These episodes are the birth of my favorite trio, Kurtcheltana. Those three and the growth of Kitty made season 5 more watchable for me. I love seeing Rachel, Santana, and Kurt being close friends and actually enjoying each other, seemingly moving past their beefs from high school and last season. Love the addition of Dani (Demi Lovato) and having her be Santana's love interest was inspired. It's good to see Santana move on and show parts of her personality that she couldn't show with Brittany, like being nervous and timid about liking someone and needing a push from Rachel. I love their version of Let It Be and listen to it often as it showcases some amazing voices and harmonies (Naya and Lea already had proven harmonies, but hearing Naya and Chris on this one was truly great). This was actually Kevin McHale audition song, so it was great to hear him on this and Becca is really impressing me with the way she's playing Kitty.

Loved the Beatles episodes and Blaine absolutely killing it in Hey Jude!! I liked Dani and Santana but they are soooo undeveloped unfortunately. Whilst half of the OG's are still in high school we will have split storylines between New York and New Directions but once they graduate it's like a completely different show, some love it and some hate it so we'll see lol.

Yeah, the Beatle episodes are great. Totally underrated. It’s unpopular, but this is my current favorite season. 😬 I really like how they subtly shifted focus more on the original characters. I think it was smart, because views went down in the last season with the newbies being shown so much. In fact, the second half of the season is just the originals in New York, no Lima at all. The 14th episode is my favorite glee episode overall! There are some weird episodes ahead but overall I think this is a solid season. Also, what you said about kitty and the writing is spot on. She is in the next season too and is very enjoyable then as well. But I wish the writers gave Tina some more screen time instead of making a joke out of her expense whenever they can. Like instead of joking that she never gets solos, maybe give her solo? Glee has always been self-aware and breaking the fourth wall but they do it a lot more in the last couple seasons. I think it’s part of the reason of why it’s such a great show. They’re in on the joke so no one can make fun of them kind of thing.

i mean we know Brittana is endgame but i did find Dani and Santana pretty cute not gonna lie. And yeah like someone said in a prior comment Nurse Penny was suppose to be Finn's love interest for the season but well...one of the many things the show had to change when tragedy happened... Oh boy not prepared for next week

I loved the dive back into the Beatles storyline, and these past 2 episodes were particularly good, considering that they did the Beatles justice for the most part. The next episode is gonna really hurt, though. I mean, I cried practically throughout the entire episode, especially at the end. Fun(not so much) fact: they had to do almost ALL the shots in the next episode in one take, because of how difficult it was.

The issue about abandoning McKinney story lines and following the OG cast is that a good chunk of the OG cast are still at McKinney with Artie, Tina, Sam, and even Blaine. Since Blaine is a beloved character, they couldn’t write off the OG characters really. S5 does take the hint and does give a lot more story to the NYC crew. S5 is a hit and miss though

I know this character gets a lot of flack for basically being a Santana 2.0, but Erinn Westbrook as Bree KILLED me. Her Cheerios prom queen rant to Kitty is actually copied (almost verbatim) from a viral angry sorority email in 2013 (you can google it). I remember tweeting Erinn how much I loved it and she tweeted back saying the monologue written for her was even longer than what was aired. I wish we could see the whole thing! lol

Fun fact: Tina's line: "This is my chance to be bigger than Jesus" is a reference to when John Lennon stated that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus. I love Kitty in this episode. Also, I don't usually like that shade of pink but I LOVED her dress. And if anything, I thought it looked even better on Tina (though Tina's dress was fab too). As a Gleek and a Lovatic you have no idea how excited I was when they announced Demi was gonna be on the show! They really hyped up the 'Dantana' ship and I thought they looked and sounded good together. Her and Naya singing Here Comes The Sun is one of my favourites. But obviously Brittana are endgame. After Naya's death, Demi credited them playing her girlfriend to them realising they were queer. As to their voice, I remember Demi had their tonsils removed around that time. They were also most likely still binging and purging. Phoebe Strole, who plays Penny, has been friends with Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff since they all worked together in "Spring Awakening" on Broadway.

I’ve always loved The Beatles, that’s the one thing my super quiet, emotional stunted, basically lump of a father shared with my sister and me. He bought the two of us tickets to see Paul McCartney in 2010 in Nashville for my sister’s 21st birthday and that was one of the best nights of my life (right next to seeing Taylor Swift in May). I’m so glad that Glee did them justice (never doubted they would, anyway) and plot-wise, these are two of my favorite episodes.

I'm always so curious about what the storylines were supposed to be if Cory were alive. Presumably the role of Penny Owen was written to be Finn's new love interest (which to your point, would've been more appropriate than the school nurse intern dating Sam, a student). That makes me wonder then what Sam's senior year storyline was supposed to be. Tina was always one of my most favorite characters (if not my #1) since the start of the show, and for so long I was WAITING for her to have her leading lady senior year moment (which Rachel basically promised her at the end of Season 3), but not like this. I'm still so disappointed all these years later.
