2023-04-05 09:18:18 +0000 UTCPretty sure it got buried in the chatter so you missed it but Anna and the Apocalypse was a very low budget film so they had 5 weeks to do everything including any rehearsing which is part of the reason the dancing looked a bit clunky. On top of that the choreographer was also an actress in the movie so she was choreographing and going over everything in between shooting her scenes and recording her parts in songs. One of the producers actually talked about how he'd walk past the space they used for the cafeteria and see her spending her breaks in there with her IPad going through the dance, trying to make sure it worked

Although, I will say that "The Ballad of Jane Doe", "Fall Fair Suite", and "What the World Needs" are my favorites. Also, if you want something so obscure and strange yet very enjoyable, I would recommend "Space Age Bachelor Man" and "Noel's Lament". I will give a language warning for "Noel's Lament" though. The language is adult appropriate but definitely not for children and teens.
