Honestly most of the time I look at a lot of issues that happen in movies or TV shows and go "ya know this issue would be solved with some therapy" and so far a lot of these issues happening in this show are the same 😅

2023-03-24 02:45:25 +0000 UTCI feel like Ricky does honestly love Nini and wants to be loved back by her but romantic love terrifies him. His parents relationship has been rocky for years from what his mom said when they told him they're getting divorced, she's been living in an entirely different state and even while she's being motherly to him at the end it's all while she's packing up to leave permanently. If I remember correctly him and Nini were together, seemingly without issues, for 9 months before she dropped the phrase 'I love you' right before going away for camp and that's when he got scared. Actually her saying I love you might not have been that much of an issue if it hadn't been done right before they were going to be separated for at least a month. As for EJ I really don't like him. Gina may have gotten him the phone but he wanted it before that and tried to get his cousin to do it for him. As his cousin said, he's spoiled and used to getting his way and in my opinion how he acts when things don't go how he wants is shitty and not great for a relationship

Clearly, he wanted to hold onto his own sense of normalcy with Nini and is desperate to get it back since that would have been the one thing that was on solid ground. Why does EJ trust Gina? Well, I’m not sure he really does. I think he is very impatient and is used to getting what he wants fairly quickly. When he exhausts all of his options, or so he thinks, he goes to the girl that poses herself as an even bigger schemer than he is.
