So many missed opportunities but the music and dancing are literally what keeps it all together. Also, EJ clocks 🤜🏻 Ricky and we are supposed to be surprised that he ends up with a nose job?👃🏻EJ keeps pushing Ricky. At some point this boy will explode. 🤯💣💥

2023-03-10 13:08:57 +0000 UTCI agree with you. Even the first time I watched the show, I disliked Ricky so much. Nini was happy with EJ and after what Ricky did to her, she deserved to move on. Him pushing and sending that voicemail was just too far. Okay he can maybe try out for the musical to try and be in Nini's life and slightly hope for her to fall for him again. But being aggressive, singing her love song for him at auditions. Ricky's actions are just annoying, and they try to play it off like EJ is in the complete wrong. Yes stealing the phone is a no situation, but everything else is reasonable.

2023-03-08 21:51:03 +0000 UTCI am loving this series. I honestly don't think that EJ or Ricky are at their best with Nini...I actually like them both as characters though. I thought that EJ's song was not bad and about on par with where a songwriter his age and experience level should be. I mean, not everyone has Ashlyn's talent. Teenage hormones and angst are on fire this episode...I like that so far the characters all show signs of typical teenagers with their self-centeredness and their impulsivity, but for the most part are often reacting to circumstance without much forethought to their actions (totally expected for their age group). I can even tell that Gina feels like she has a chip on her shoulder and feels like she has a lot to prove, which doesn't make her a bad person at all. She is actually one of my favorites along with Kourtney and Ashlyn. I also am starting to really like Miss Jenn (I was on the fence before). Looking forward to getting more into this series!

2023-03-08 21:04:57 +0000 UTCRe-watching this and wow am I totally on EJ's side lol Ricky is NOT with Nini anymore and while he may still want to be, EJ has every reason to be upset with him for still going after Nini. Ricky being upset with EJ is totally unjustified and 100% stemming from jealousy. EJ may not have done everything right here, but he is trying to protect his relationship! A Billion Sorrys is iconic lol I really like what they did with it because this wasn't polished EJ who prepared for an audition. This is an EJ totally out of his league - uncomfortable, uncertain and off-kilter. So, I liked that it was kind of "bad" in that way. Also, Ricky really had no right to expect Nini to keep that voicemail from EJ either way, so...

2023-03-08 19:58:17 +0000 UTCOMG!!! The acapella cover of “Stick To The Status Quo” gave me CHILLS!!!! I mean, I’m actually enjoying this show. As one who actually watched all 3 original movies several more times than one cares to admit(I have the entire discography memorized, and can practically name any song from the series within the first 4 notes of the intro), this series is taking a fresh take on the movies we know and love, and adding some extra drama into it. Also, seeing this series, actually gives a full background into Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, as in, I can actually see where she got the inspiration for tracks like “Driver’s License”, “Deja Vu” and “good 4 u”. I’m guessing the guy that played EJ hurt her pretty bad. I’m not saying it’s healthy to channel your angst into song like that,(or maybe it is, I don’t know), but watching this series, and listening to the album really puts things into perspective.
