i already loved Brittany and Sam together (of course i'm a brittana shipper) but this ep sold me! the cute interraction during "no scrubs"? them dancing and sam looking at brittay?? i'm sorry but i think they have really good chemistry!! of course they're not forever, but at this point in their life, i think they're perfect for eachother!

Lol, 😃 that’s okay. 👌🏼 It took me a while to reply back. 😅 Oh okay, nice. 👍🏼🙂 Thanks. ✌🏼 Oh maybe that was it, lol. 😅 Actually, 🤔 I am sure that is a possibility. 😅 I meant that in certain states and towns, 🏘️ they still did not allow integration (White students + any other ethnic background but mostly referring to Black students = no shared activities) at their school functions. They had to be kept apart. ❌ (Isn’t that wild.) 🙁👎🏼 This included and was not limited to the dances, 🪩 unfortunately. It’s still pretty segregated, in the way that POC and other minority group kids are forced to go to certain schools, 🏫 with minimal resources. And when allowed to attend better schools, 👍🏼🏫 they are still limited. ❌ Some of those resources being for basic needs. It’s pretty terrible. 🤔👎🏼

Feels like forever since I recorded this that I had to watch it to get you the answers haha! The top is from SHEIN and I think what youre seeing in the backround is my reflection. My kitchen is separated by glass doors behind me. Also how were dances segregated in the US? You mean a girls only or boys only dance?

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

It was refreshing😅 that they did the Sadie Hawkins dance.💃🏻 Some dances (and school activities) were still segregated in the US, so to see this was really amazing 🤩 and encouraging. 😌 Hopefully that has changed since the shutdown. 🤐 Tina 👩🏻 needed a better storyline, 🎬📝especially being an original member. She is left out way too much. It is pretty messed 😧 up considering we are dealing with a whole group of newbies but we see 👀 more of them. I enjoy 😉 the newbies but there is nothing like the originals.🤩 Love Interests ❤️ Rachel 👉🏼 Brody / Kurt’s ex 👉🏼 Blaine Bieber = Rider / Kurt’s new 👉🏼 Adam P.S. What 🤔 is that thing moving behind you on the left. It is hard to look away. 🫣 Also, great top! 👌🏼 What kind of top is it? Where can it be purchased? 🤔✌🏼🎊

Koko

yea it seems like her character changed so much throughout each season

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Tina's character really got assassinated after season 3.

Maybe my school was more edgy because even back in 97-2001 I had openly bi sexual friends and it wasnt weird for a girl to ask a guy to the dance. Granted my school was in california at a beach town for maybe that makes it more open minded?

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Sadie Hawkins dances are a tradition that was born out of the very old "tradition" of it always being guys that asked girls to dances. I mean, you're 100% right that girls should just ask guys (or other girls) to dances and maybe that does actually happen in high schools now? I don't know, I'm in my late 30s, haha. I'd hope so. But anyway, the first Sadie Hawkins dance was in like, 1930s. You can understand the culture back then and why Sadie Hawkins would've been a "thing", because that just wasn't the status quo. Oh also, with "Baby Got Back", the guy who originally wrote that arrangement, Jonathan Coutlton is a comedic singer/songwriter. And in this scene Kurt is laughing. That's the whole point. I think sometimes people forget that Glee was a dark comedy.

mightstill

It's like Kurt with Finn in S1, which nobody talks about btw. You can't help who you fall for but no means no. It would be the same if Blaine was straight or bi but had been clear with Tina that he was not interested in her that way.

Heida

yes! It just rubs me the wrong way at how disrespectful Tina is with hitting on Blaine over and over

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

When I realized that Joey was in an episode of Glee, I was so upset that he didn't have more to do in the episode. If they made a spin-off show set in New York like they originally wanted to do, maybe we would have seen more of the Adam's Apples and we would have gotten to see Joey more. Interesting fact about how I was introduced to Joey, I knew him from Jessie, and then in one of the thumbnails for the first Harry Potter musicals I recognized him, so then I watched the musical, and became an immediate fan for life of Starkid.

Turnip Crazy

Marley and Unique did sing Blow Me (One Last Kiss) together at the Grease audition but agree that they need to sing more together. Most of the music in this episode is actually really good. But again, the storylines are a mess. The only good thing is Blaine's crush on Sam. Not because I ship them but because Blaine is actually being respectful to Sam (unlike Tina). Your reaction to the Baby Got Back performance (and the ending) is hilarious and so on point! Literally the only thing I remember about THAT performance is Joey Richter (one of the kids from Adam's Apples). Joey is Darren Criss's friend and co-star from a Harry Potter based musical at StarKid Productions, which is a musical theater company Darren co-founded. Darren played Harry and Joey played Ron. Still don't get why he wasn't in a scene with Blaine and actually had some lines.

Heida

Fyi Marley and Unique have already had a duet! They sang blow me one last liss when auditioning for the musical (and you loved it!)

Elisha Li

I'm always so uncomfortable with Tina's crush on Blaine (also, her solution to Blaine's unrequited crush being 'go to the dance with me' was icky) and I wish they'd explored more about the fact that Blaine was beat up at a Sadie Hawkins dance and transferred to Dalton because of it... I'm a fan of the Blaine crushing on Sam plot because I feel like it's the healthiest relationship glee has — Blaine has a crush, keeps it to himself, doesn't put any pressure on Sam to reciprocate, Sam is never homophobic and compared to things like Tina's crush on Blaine and kurt's S1 crush on Finn (both kurt's obsession and finn calling him slurs), it's so much healthier and glee's best way of showing friendship between a gay and a straight character (also unlike both tina and kurt's crush, Blaine accepts that Sam's straight and never tries to change it, just accepts that his feelings are there and will go away eventually, instead of making them Sam's problem) (not thinking in terms of endgame relationships or anything, just compared to how many unhealthy, predatory, and pushy crushes have happened in glee, Tina and Kitty in this episode but going all the way back to Kurt and Rachel with Finn in s1 and all the way throughout the show, it's refreshing to see a crush that's very "my feelings are my problem, I don't expect anything from you and I'm not going to try to force you to be with me because of it")

Maddie

They sprinkled a lot of idiotic storylines through S4. The next few episodes are better… it’s like the writers finally realized wh..at they were missing.

desiderata770

I mainly only know the first 3 seasons plot so rewatching this again is crazy bc I forgot all these storylines. Suggestion for a new series to watch its musical too only like 10 eps. It just came out Daisy Jones & The Six(based on a book & the series has 3 eps so far & will have the rest out in coming weeks) Elvis Presleys granddaughter is in it so guess talent follows the family musically

Jackie Warner

That episode was super traumatic, mainly because I went through a similar experience in High School.

Lucario Stormblade007

I am just here to see her react to Shooting Star 0_E

Yeah this episode was very messy 😅 but I always enjoy the performances at the dances. The rest of the season is pretty good tho. A lot of OG come back, good songs and story lines and a lot of drama as usual lol. I think you're going to enjoy the next episode...multiple scenes of a shirtless Sam 😋

Sabrina Louis

This is the section of Glee that's so hard to watch for me. Tina is another character that gets destroyed especially with her crush on Blaine and it only gets worse with the things that she written to do. In a lot of ways you could tell the showrunners didn't really care anymore about the show and I hate that because I have such a love for the characters but they all at one point or another go so far off the rails in the final three seasons to progress silly and more times than not offensive stories.

Veronica _R_T

Yeah, this isn't even the weirdest episode in the show which is really saying something because of what's to come, I don't know if you're going to hate it or love it lol. You have to keep in mind that even though season 4 is struggling right now, Season 5 is the most hated season, and a large reason of that is due to Cory's death and the show not having a clear direction on where they wanted to go from there, so there are some reall weird storylines to come. The music I'm here for though, and you always being like "wtf is going on" is literally every person who watched S4-6 of Glee no matter how many times they've watched it

vince

I’m now just realizing trough Audrey’s watch tru that this season’s episodes really take a big hit when there is no much Finn… I did write in the first post about this season that he really is the main character for this one🤷🏾‍♂️has someone else noticed that??
