DK why they deleted this. What Kitty did got brushed under the rug too quickly and this sets up their future (real) friendship so nicely! Just like Santana coming out, what the fans actual want is deleted.

I do feel like Glee dropped the ball on the ED storyline there. Becca Tobin and Melissa Benoist killed this scene, and more of this would certainly have better endeared their characters to Glee fans.

2023-03-01 05:47:07 +0000 UTCBecca Tobin is such a great actress. I believe Ryan Murphy had some unprocessed trauma with cheerleaders because it seemed like he wanted us to just hate them with the way he introduced Quinn, Santana, and Kitty. With the comparisons to Quinn, it was pretty obvious that they would want to keep Kitty's soft side under wraps. Becca, Dianna, and Naya all did an amazing job of showing us that there was always something more to these characters than just the surface. Such charismatic actresses, especially Naya who was able to convince them and us that we deserved to have the substance that was underneath the anger, bitchiness, and snark

In this world it IS hard to believe there are people out there who are genuinely kind, so Kitty's reaction is actually pretty realistic.

2023-02-28 19:08:13 +0000 UTCI really wish that they had left this scene in. I guess they weren’t quite ready for us to see behind Kitty’s bitchy mask yet but I really do love this exchange. I’m a lot like Marley and I do try to look for the reasons behind the behavior and it definitely helps in my job working with customers over the phone. When a customer calls in already at an 11, I never rise to meet them there because I know that their anger is not because of me or any of my actions and quite possibly not even the company’s. Most of the time they just need someone to listen to all of their grievances and that is definitely something I can do even if what they are demanding is not something that is possible. I have also heard more than a lifetime’s worth of cheating partner stories.
