Yea the boys are all so sweet int ehir own ways. I do agree about Julie doing teenage stuff but at least theyre keeping it to a minimum so shes not too rebeliouos because her dad is simply the best

I love this show so much. The characterization is awesome which surprises me given that we're only 6 episodes in. I love all the boys in the band, they all have their own lovable qualities, more so Luke after this episode. I'm glad that they gave us insight to why his intensity is so strong about the music. I love Alex's sensitivity and his energy, especially when his feet get going and he can't help but join in on the dancing. Reggie's optimistic way of looking at life is refreshing and endearing. Luke's sadness and pain just melted my heart this episode. I always want to just give them hugs. Julie's dad is definitely on par with a lot of my favoriteTV parents and I wish that Julie wouldn't do the teenage thing and actually talk to him, but it is pretty consistent with her teenage self. He was so cute when he was trying to find her another music school/program in the beginning. It is clear to me that he would pretty much do anything for his kids. Loved the performance of Finally Free, such a great and catchy song.

So I am usually quiet in these chats and watch from the sidelines but I literally cannot wait until you watch these last few episodes. Ep. 6-9 are my favorites! Kenny Ortega, who is the director, said he planned for JATP to have 5 seasons! :'( Oh what could have been! I just wish Netflix would give Kenny the rights to the show so another streaming service could pick it up. Buckle up! You're in for some emotional last episodes!!

Rewatching this with you, I'm reminded of just how good all of the songs in this show were. Ugh. Netflix was so dumb to cancel it.

I was so excited to see this new episode, I dropped everything to watch :') To answer your question at the end, Julie is "15" in the show (and I believe was 14/15 when they filmed). Luke is "17" in the show but was around 21/22 when they filmed. This basically informs why the romance arc is set up the way it is in the show (with legal limitations I'd assume). I'm really excited to continue watching your reactions :D
