when does she not look stunning. probably used to wake up looking that amazing!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Oh man, this is one of my favourite songs in the show. I can't pinpoint out why, but I loved it since the first time I listened to it. I love that you reacted to this. And as a side note, can we mention how darn beautiful Naya looks in this? I mean, she always looks stunning, but this gown, the hair, the makeup....*chef kiss*

Triana

yea I would love to hear more singign from SJP

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

yea I really only knew her from sex and the city

sometimes we get attached to the original and it'sconnected to good memories and emotions. It's hard to top that

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

oh good! I assumed Santaba wiould be at NAYADA

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

someitmes whe we love the original, it becomes a part of us that we'll simply never be able to top. I feel tat way with a bunch of musical songs.

I've noticed Rachels ego growing just recently with the episode of her telling Kurt not to join the Adams apples ( watch party coming ext week while im traveling)

I've been hoping you'd do this song! One of my favorite 4 part harmonies in Glee. A Chorus Line is one of my all time favorite musicals.

Steph Stephens

I think the only one here who is going to NYADA full-time is Rachel. Kurt is still at Vogue at least part-time (why Isabelle/SJP is performing here). It's not a huge *spoiler alert* since you've watched this but basically Isabelle mentioned her experiences taking ballet classes. If I remember correctly, Rachel and Kurt discussed their own enjoyment but were dismissive of Santana and assumed she didn't take classes. She said that actually she did and loved them, then they launched into this performance. Rachel (and somewhat Kurt) were often very mean to Santana in the later seasons. It's like they started to get their footing in New York and all the bullying they endured in high school redirected and turned them into the bullies. On the flip side, Santana retained her snark but viewed them as a family and was very supportive. Santana probably had the best character growth out of all of the characters. Rachel's ego only grew as the seasons progressed.

Oh, they were fantastic. Like I said. I thought their performances were amazing. Personally, I just really didn't like the arrangement. But what they did with the arrangement was wonderful.

Carleen

I like that Glee went for the harmony on the belt. Audrey has said that one of the hardest things to do is belt in unison and sound good (from her Brave reaction) and Naya and Lea did it again in this song...Bravo ladies👏

Gemma Rivera

She should have if they'd stuck with the original arrangement for the song. Technically, SJP ended up singing the parts of two women in the original arrangement. That note belongs to the "Indian Chief" verse. But, SJP wouldn't have been able to pull off that note.

Carleen

I think I'm one of the very, very few who feels "meh" about this performance. The four of them did a great job, don't get me wrong. I think they sound fantastic But I really dislike the arrangement. This is my favorite song from A Chorus Line. It's written for three women in the show - Sheila, Bebe, and Maggie. That belting note at the end is done by Maggie. Alone. Kay Cole blew Naya and Lea out of the water, IMHO.

Carleen

Thank you SO MUCH for reacting to this absolute perfection! That PezBerry harmony will ALWAYS be my most favorite in the history of GLEE! Gives me chills no matter how many times I watch it!

Millie C.

I agree that the Vogue storyline should have sticks around more, but I do love that he got into NYADA. Don’t worry, Santana doesn’t go to NYADA and there is more career variety as the show continues. Also am I alone in thinking that SJP should have had that big note with Santana instead of Rachel? She did have a bigger role in the song after all.

Selma Jabr

I really don’t understand why so many people don’t like this, it’s absolutely beautiful. Every single thing about this was just exquisite and really takes me right back to the first time I saw The Nutcracker live when I was 7 when everything really was beautiful and I was happy “At The Ballet”. I know this was one of the longest numbers, but I still wanted more.

Annie Willow

One of my favorite performances! So beautiful and moving. As always, Goddess Naya slays. I am always surprised by SJPs talent. Great reaction!

Amber Harrison

Such a stunning and underrated performance. I loved that they had Naya and SJP as the leads on this. I thought they did an amazing job with the singing parts as well as the spoken parts. Naya was a master at pathos (being able to evoke emotions in the audience) whether she was acting, singing, or dancing. Here she does it with her singing and her acting. This will definitely make a lot more sense once you see it in context, Audrey. I remember just being blown away by the skill needed in this number and just watching them switch between the different elements and feel bad at how overlooked this number is. SJP was just an awesome addition to the cast and I definitely wish that they had used her more. I also really wish that they had Kurt find his way at Vogue instead of going to NYADA. I feel like Isabelle could totally have helped him get into Fashion Design School as it is something that we saw in Kurt from the very beginning of the show with his avant garde ensembles. Many thanks for doing a full reaction video to this song.
