2023-03-15 04:25:02 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but random trivia (via imdb) the line "Hello Salem. My name's Winefred (sp?). What's yours?" is a play on Gypsy... I've never seen her version (oops!) only the Rosalind Russell version <3 (even though at that age she needed dubbing). In it, the older daughter says something similar where it's like "Hello everyone (?) , my name's Gypsy. What's yours?" Mama Rose (Bette) has a song similar with her own name.... They wrote that line into this song as a nods to that. (sidenote: Mary is played by Kathy Najimi (sp?) who was also in SISTER ACT!!! and amazing. I know I'm an older follower [1984] but ugh, I wish you would do that one. Esp bc Disney is talking about doing sister act 3. I'm excited!)

2022-09-30 04:44:08 +0000 UTCI know Sarah Jessica Parker is the one singing "Come Little Children", that's definitely her voice, and I know both her and Kathy Najimy (Sister Act 1&2 watch party some day? O-: ) can sing. However, I can see where you would question if that's them actually backing up Bette during this song, because listening closely it doesn't really sound like them. I couldn't say for sure though personally without doing a bunch of research on it haha.

The original movie had them as aging women before they were hung by the townspeople...and then it was 300 years later. So I think the 70-year difference is a combination of teenage Sanderson Sisters to Older Sanderson Sisters....and the time from the original movie to the sequel.
