I know you’ve already reacted to Lea performing My Man for Barbra last year, but it might be fun in light of the news to compare the Glee performance to Lea’s standalone performance to see if there are differences between the Rachel character version and the Lea version? Kinda like the West Side Story comparisons. Just an idea!

2022-07-19 03:05:22 +0000 UTCWhile we’re not arguing the lady has talent( I mean, listen to her!), I am however, addressing the elephant in the room: Naya’s version of “Don’t Rain” was better, IMHO. Here’s why; Yes, Lea Michele has a Broadway background, and it’s evident in her interpretation of that song in particular. However, Naya was not from Broadway, so it allowed her to have more “artistic freedom” when it came to that song in particular. I get it, it’s a very Broadway song, but Naya’s version added flair and flavor, whereas Lea’s kinda felt a little flat.
