Lol, this is my least favorite episode of the second season, but like I said before, it’s the price you pay to get to the gem that is Ain’t No Way. Rachel, love her or hate her, put it all out there plainly. She doesn’t care if people love her, she only cares about being the best at what she does. Ambition is very important in the business and you have to have thick skin to be on top, otherwise people will walk all over you. Funnily enough, women seem to get more hate for that than men do 🤷🏻♀️. I remember not liking this episode at the time because of the serious lack of Rachel covers. Ugh, I can’t not love her. The next episode is one of my favorites of all time, because it has Glee’s greatest mashup, can’t wait to see your reaction.

2022-06-04 16:54:48 +0000 UTCOn the "everyone knows Adele" thing, this episode aired in 2011, and Adele had only released one song that gained recognition before this, "Chasing Pavements". I think this episode was right around the time her second album was being released, which is when all her massive hits took off. So while not "under appreciated", she was just getting started as an artist.

The cracky Glee humour was in full force too :D I'm so excited for the next episode though, definitely in my top 3, it's so good!

It is thoroughly entertaining and has some of my favorite numbers: Turning Tables, All By Myself and Ain’t No Way. Ain’t No Way is in my top five Glee covers of all time. It’s SO SO SO good.

I do know that on more than one occasion she has sung her numbers for the show live (not sure if this is one of them, but I wouldn't be surprised based on how the cast was reacting). I love how Santana's protective side is coming out more and extending to more members of the club (instead of just Brittany). This was the start of when I really started to love her character arc. Poor Tina, another solo cut short...but was glad to see that both she and Mike were featured in this episode. And yes, Audrey, Charice (as she was known back then, now goes by the name of Jake Zyrus after transitioning) is Filipino

But what I feel she doesn't get enough credit for is the moments where she allows someone else to shine even if it means she doesn't. Yes she loves to sing and loves her solos, but she also loves the club and wants it to be successful.
