no covers in a long time. Just found myself either to busy or too lazy haha

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

I know it was forever ago, but you talked about possibly doing a cover of Blackbird? Did that ever happen? I absolutely love that song 💙

ashinscribbleland

hahah! Thats funny because I loved Quinn too

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

The thing I remember most about this episode is Quinn's talk with Rachel and how raw it was. Basically, Quinn knew her place because of her parents and knew how she was expected to end up and Finn fit that picture. Rachel was meant for New York and Broadway and when Quinn says "And you can't be mad at me for sending you on your way" It kills me. I shipped Faberry so hard after this episode. Especially with the "On My Way" episode in season three (No spoilers but the episode title always brings me back to that conversation). Not to mention she wrote "Get it Right" because of Quinn. The writers teased that so hard on purpose and then went backward with Quinn because Ryan Murphy hated her and swore everyone else was supposed to hate her too, but everyone loved her so he had to MAKE people hate her because of how poorly they wrote her.

Such a great episode!

Georgia Beauchemin

Mr. Schue : “And what are all those songs about?” Brittany: “Headbands” 🤷‍♀️

Annie Willow

Mr. Shue: "What's your favorite song of all time?" Brittany: "My Headband" Still cracks me up to this day.

Tyler Mckenzie

In addition to Amber hiding her face behind her notebook, you can see Puck and Lauren holding in their laughter (Lauren is even laughing a bit after the song ends), Tina looks ready to crack up even while playing the piano, and Mike does a good job of diverting and giving looks to Sam...Naya is a true professional, not only keeping a straight face, but performing the hell out of that number

Gemma Rivera

This is one of my favourite episodes. ❤️ I love Kurt's voice and when he is singing Blackbird so much and when Blaine realises that he's in love. I dont like next ep so much but then all the rest episodes are gold.

Moona

Candles is still a horrible cover in my book, but I enjoyed everything else in this episode (yes, even Big Ass Heart). And after all these years, I finally see the Faberry appeal on my millionth re-watch. \

I Am Not Chamari

candle is probably the worst duet in the show? i love the song outside the show, but wtf happened here! i'm not the biggest fan of Kurt's voice or his duet association with Blaine, in general. but this. this is just horrible? i literally don't know who thought this was good enough to put in the show?? their voices don't match it's almost hurting to the hear lol! glee changed a lot of songs last minute and this should have been a change bc ew?

This one was one of my favorite episodes! I loved all the storylines, especially the return of Sassy!Kurt. I did wonder and I still wonder why they didn't really expand on Quinn's story that really gets more emotional punch here. That scene where she basically describes how she's resigned herself to a miserable life stuck in Lima forever made me want to give her a hug and tell her there was more out there in the world for her.

Jennifer Adame

This episode for me shows how insecure Quinn really is, and sparked much of the future Faberry stories. She needs to be liked and 'popular' for her own self worth, and after what happened in S1, she feels she needs to recapture who she was before the pregnancy. To her, Rachel represents all that Quinn isn't, unapologetically true to who she is, and with dreams that take her beyond their small Ohio town. Whatever dreams Quinn may have had disappeared with all she has been through, and she doesn't know how to find that, without becoming who she was again. I do love the original songs they performed for the competition. Loser Like me gets added to many of my playlists.

AmosRambles

I looove this episode! Get It Right was one of my favorite Rachel solos when it came out. It is one of the most requested song when Lea Michele tours but she doesn’t remember any of the words or even remember singing it 😂 I can’t blame her, she sang quite a lot. This is the part where the teen drama gets amped up, and I can’t say I’m excited to watch it. It’s so tedious. I remember watching it back when it aired and I’m like “come on girl, there’s gotta be more guys out there than Finn, move on!” I was a huge Puckleberry fan at the time. I did (and still do) have a soft spot for Finchel though, I think when they’re together they’re good together but the drama that they come up with gets tiring. Realistically after high school Finn and Rachel would not have worked out. He’s too easy going and she’s too ambitious and too type A. One of them would have to sacrifice a part of themselves to be with the other, and that’s not great. Next episode was my least favorite, but I’ll suffer through it if only to get to the greatness that is “Ain’t No Way”. I played that over and over when it came out.

JustAlyssa87

I second this!! It’s seriously my favorite part of season 2! https://youtu.be/q9rhJXohiBs Also Heather singing it on her TikTok in 2020 is just hilarious https://youtu.be/9yA-Y27os8U

Annie Willow

You should watch and possibly react to the full version of the song My Cup that gets sung in the Nationals episode before you watch the episode. That way you will see why the cast is reacting the way they are during the song.

Teri

Wow, watching this really takes me back to when it first came out and all of the Klainers absolutely lost their minds with the kiss scene because we felt like we'd been waiting for them to get together for so long. It was mayhem. And then they have them go and sing Candles which is probably one of my least favourite songs on Glee. Buy hey ho, you can't have everything. Hearing Loser Like Me also reminds me so much of the Live Tour they did after season 2 came out. If you can watch it somewhere online that would also be really fun for you to do a watch party of as it was really the heyday of Glee at that time. I saw it live in London and it was awesome, and I still like to watch the DVD sometimes when I need cheering up!

Romy

Faberry from here on out is excruciating to watch because the writers hate Quinn lol

Rheannon

Trouty Mouth gets me cracking up every time! If Santana was going to write a heterosexual song about Sam she was not going to half ass it at all. She sang that from the depths of her soul. I have no idea how the rest of the cast was not just rolling on the floor cracking up (though you do see Amber hide her face behind her notebook). I do like the season 5 slower version of Loser Like Me better.

Annie Willow

Original Song is actually one of my favorite episodes of the entire show. I especially love that Blaine finally stopped being oblivious and admitted his feelings to Kurt since Klaine is the main reason I watched Glee. I pretty much love all the music in this episode.

Christina Brown

My cup my cup. Saying wassup to my cup, my cup. More of a friend than a silly pup. My cup. Saying wassup to my cup, ah!

BRENDAN FOREMAN

I honestly didn't like Get it right nor Loser like me. I found them really bad, like a Disney show intro song.

Capri Zonica

My favorite Mercedes line of the whole show..."But my butt Mr. Schue, that song was amazing." Just one of my favorite girls speaking facts, lol. Also, the fact that she rhymed Wheaties with Diabetes...best original song out of the bunch (but still not as good as My Cup) Up until this point, I felt like the throwing shade crown was up for grabs between Santana and Sue, but Trouty Mouth sealed it for me and I had no choice but to give the crown to Santana. It's her delivery of her zingers and the calmness that does it for me and with Trouty Mouth she added her attitude, snark, spunk and amazing voice. Is there any genre that this woman cannot sing and perform the hell out of? Also, Sam's reaction to Santana's attitude also makes me love him more. He stands up to her, but in a way that doesn't bring out Snixx. I am super bummed that they didn't feature more people in Loser Like Me. I felt like that it deserved much more variety and it would have been a lot more impactful had they not just had Rachel and Finn lead like they always do. I do think that Faberry should have been explored instead of beating that love triangle to death. It would have been fun to see how two smart and driven women could have moved on from small town life and conquer a new life together in a big city, neither of them having to settle for anything less than they deserved while chasing their dreams. Also, Audrey if you're impressed with Amber's rapping here, please check out Doo Wop (That Thing) you will not be disappointed.

Gemma Rivera

Trouty 👄 and My Cup are genuinely the best original songs because they're catchy regardless the lyrics. It had to be Brittana, of course.

Capri Zonica

Love this episode. Also really love Darren Criss, his voice is amazing and I'm 95% sure he did a lot of the arrangement for the songs he sang. I have always wondered why the producers put so much crap on top of his voice. He has stunning vocal talent. Any thoughts why they would do that Ms. Audrey? I'm very curious about the creative side of the show.

LisaMarie_82

i think a lot of Santana's line are hard core bullying but a lot of it is brushed of on the show and by the audience, bc no one actually respond back to her, it's "funny" and also bc of what happens in s3 and her "growth".. but yeah, trouty mouth is funny but also why are you publicly humiliating your boyfriend?

leslie martin

i haven't watched your reaction yet but this is comedy GOLD! i actually think your on the best streak of the show imo, which is ep11 to 16, then ep17 is kinda slow but it's back from ep18 to 20! love it!!

leslie martin

I loved the opening of this show the most. Seriously wished that Darren and the rest of the ones who played the warblers went on the voice and did that for Adam Levine while he was co-chairing the show. Would have been kind of cool. I don't know why though? The Finn/Quinn/Rachel saga does come to an end sort of, I think only one episode at the end of season 3 shows it somewhat coming back but not in this specific way. Quinn only wanted Finn for the crown, and to hurt Rachel. Even knowing that Finn was still in love with Rachel the entire time. That's why they showed her staring at him when he was around Rachel so much. She knew how he felt. The triangle was on purpose though. The producers wanted to keep Finn and Rachel together all of season 2, but Ryan Murphy scratched the idea in the middle of the season because he wanted to give Rachel and Finn different storylines that didn't work with them being involved. They said Finchel will always be there, but they had to change it up for that reason. Just makes for good teenage drama I guess. Trouty Mouth comes back in season 4. A little bit. But I didn't care for it, she was bullying her own boyfriend. Granted she was having her personal issues with who she truly was but still? Big ass heart still kind of was worse than fat bottom girls in my book. hell to the no, that however was definitely fitting for Mercedes. I think Ian and Brad wrote these songs. I know Adam Anders the music producer wrote Get it right for Rachel. I don't know if you noticed but some of the audience members weren't actually human, they were dummies. They did this often as well if they didn't fill up the auditorium. With the camera, around Rachel singing, I was the first to say you might get dizzy a little bit right off the bat, I don't get why they had to spin that camera around her so much. It's about time for Blaine and Kurt too, took enough time to get them together Jeeze. Kathy Griffin Bugs me, Why her as a judge? Don't get it. She's anything but what she played on that show too which is really funny. Ugh, Night of neglect to me is boring, Has some funny scenes, but not a lot. It didn't do well when it aired either. I think it was the lowest-rated Glee show ever.

KJ Dogmom

Hold up now.. "COULD be"? Trouty mouth is iconic. I feel robbed that they never released that extra verse. 🐟 👄 (But yes, it would also be amazing as a serious song.)

Desi

Finchel is what made me start shipping Faberry. Finn was just ill matched with both Quinn and Rachel. They were far too intelligent and ambitious to settle for him, and I really didn’t get the appeal. I let go of Finchel before leaving high school because it wasn’t realistic and Finn held Rachel back. Watching these episodes again takes me back to sophomore year, I had all these songs on my iPod on a constant loop.

Mia

love this ep!!

megan

Hands down. My favorite song from Naya is Trouty Mouth 👄

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

I honestly love Tina’s piano in ‘Trouty Mouth’. That piano was hot and jazz really suits Santana. Change the lyrics into that of a classic touch song and ‘Trouty mouth’ could be amazing. I also wish Naya had sung more jazzy songs.

Rasha

"Trouty Mouth" and "Hell To The No" are iconic original songs lol 😩😂
