Flight Simulator 2024 - HDR Optimized Settings

The game DOES USE/APPLY Xbox and PC HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has a good HDR implementation as it correctly applies system-level HDR calibration and can go up to 10.000 nits.
No other HDR or video sliders are available/needed in-game.

You bought the access for the post. There's no download. In this case you need to adjust system level HDR Calibration in the link you see in the post (based on the console/PC you have) for the game to apply those settings automatically.

2024-11-23 21:57:40 +0000 UTCThe game won't read the TV, but the console/PC values. So if you calibrated those with DTM or HGIG it's the same, it will still read there

2024-11-20 13:26:49 +0000 UTCSo in that case we can use whatever we want ? Because I’m sure it still processes the tv’s settings right ? So I could use Filmmaker or Game Optimizer and still be able to fine tune the settings, correct?

2024-11-20 13:19:33 +0000 UTCHello and welcome! That means what it's written: I specify if the game does use/apply system-level HDR Calibration or not. When it does, usually you don't have to do anything in-game as the game will just read there and apply the settings you used for system calibration (like this Flight Sim case) In other cases even if it does, the game still provides additional in-game HDR controls on top of it (but that's not the case) When I specify a game does not use system calibration, it means that whatever you out on PS5/Xbox/PC HDR Calibration app it will be ignored by the game as this will have its own in-game controls.

2024-11-20 13:09:37 +0000 UTCHi I’m a new subscriber and just got an LG G4. I’m curious about what is meant by “does or does not use tv/ video game console settings”. Does it simply mean not to use the ps5’s hdr settings when the game does not use settings ? If so, then what would do I reset hdr calibration settings for my console for any game that doesn’t use the settings ?
