Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy - HDR Optimized Settings

The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has a fairly good HDR implementation with an actual Peak HDR Luminance slider (in numerical values but not in "nits") which can go up to 2.000 nits and also a regular Brightness/Gamma slider.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

> you're using HGIG:

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

> you're using HGIG:

In all cases, leave the regular "Brigthness" slider to 0.50 as it already represent a correct/balance exposure and gamma.

Only Performance Mode is "not 30" so go for that.

please tell me what graphics mode do you recommend for this game? I play on ps5, tv is Lg C3. in your article "Miscellaneous Gaming Suggestions for Best Visuals & Clarity" you recommend to avoid 30fps on OLEDs, does that mean I should use performance mode for this game(1080p/60fps), or thanks to VRR I can choose quality mode or RT?

Yes, in 99% of cases the nit values correspond between the Xbox/PS versions of the same HDR game. The remaining 1% usually have some weird bugs only on a specific platform and not the other (e.g. RE: Village broken HDR on PS5 but working fine on Xbox)

Do you test these nit values on both xbox and PS5? I'm running it on an LG G1 OLED HGIG enabled on PS5 and these recommendations look nice. Had seen others suggest 65% rather than 30% to achieve 800 nit peak luminance, I wondered if maybe it varied by console. I really dig the clear way you breakdown the settings and quantity of games you cover, definitely sticking around. Thanks!
