Mortal Kombat 11 - HDR Optimized Settings
Added 2022-03-15 15:24:58 +0000 UTC
The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
MK11 has a decent HDR implementation with just an option which will let you select the HDR "type" but directly in terms of Peak HDR Brightness in nits:
- Standard = 1.000 nits
- High End = 1.500 nits
- Professional = 2.200 nits
If you have an LG OLED and:
> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:
- Set HDR slider to: Professional;
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR slider to: Standard or High End (for G3)
If you don't have an LG OLED and:
> you don't have an HGIG option:
- Set HDR slider to: Standard
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR slider to: Standard or increase it to High End or Professional based on the real Peak HDR Brightness of your TV.

2023-09-15 06:01:25 +0000 UTCMan the G3 is so amazing with filmmaker mode and allm plus DTM. When I first tried it out at first glance I thought it was just dim like hgig but then playing this game for 5 minutes I realized that hgig does not use the whole range of nits on the television. The new dtm pro with 20,000 blocks analysis is perfect.

2023-09-15 04:21:59 +0000 UTCAlways ALLM + Filmmaker Mode + DTM for gaming on G3. Game Mode + HGIG is no more needed. See my video guide and updated settings for it in the stickied article here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/lg-2017-2023-for-63754947

2023-09-13 18:44:56 +0000 UTCI have an LG G3. Do you recommend Dynamic tone mapping for this game or HGIG?
