Battlefield V - HDR Optimized Settings
Added 2022-03-15 13:59:06 +0000 UTC
The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has a good HDR implementation, but a step back from Battlefield 1.
It provides a very accurate HDR Brightness slider which can range between 300-2.000 nits (instead of 10.000 nits Max of its prequel).

If you have an LG OLED and:
> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: 2.000 (nits; Max);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: 800 (nits) or 1.000 (for G2) or 1.500 (for G3)
If you don't have an LG OLED and:
> you don't have an HGIG option:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: 1.000 (nits);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits".

In all cases leave the regular "Brightness" slider (in the "BASIC" tab) to: 50% (Default) as it already corresponds to a balanced/correct exposure and gamma.

The cause, in case someone asks You the same question: Video Range was set to „FULL” instead of „Auto”/„Limited”. Thanks, Steam Deck Dock… works great now. 🫠 And yes, I meant the updates to white point (warm-45 VS previous 50 etc.)

2025-04-15 11:17:27 +0000 UTCOut od curiosity - why shouldn’t we use the suggested setting? The boxes don’t look correct/the same even on the screenshot (In case of LG C2 - the boxes even out at 1260, instead of 800). I use Your recommended settings btw.
