IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

 Hello Hello everyone! 

I’ve got a bit of a hefty announcement for you guys, so buckle up, it's a bit of a doozy.  

So a couple weeks ago, both my wife and I received an email from our boss. Because of how COVID has affected our school, and the fact that we have lost a lot in terms of enrollment, both of our jobs have essentially been cut. The school is having to outsource my wife's job to a 3rd party company, and My job is being changed to a part time position with severely reduced pay. I’m essentially just going to be on Tech support with not Benefits, being paid hourly.  

So as you might guess, this puts my wife and I in a VERY concerning place. Luckily, I have a bit of time since my contract lasts until mid August, though that really isn’t a LOT of time.  

So my options now are pretty limited. Though I have decided I really want jump starting my lifelong dream of making art a full time gig if possible. If anything, keep the part time job at the school, and use my off time to continue my work with art and commissions.   

The next big part is that I am going to FINALLY begin my story for ‘Gates of Æther’ and begin my web comic series! I would also be opening up more opportunities to include new Patreon rewards, such as early access to comic pages before they officially release, as well as other rewards!  

I have already set in motion to plan for the now WEEKLY request streams, especially since I have now reached 20 patrons!!! You all have done so much to support me, and I am so thankful for it! 

 This loss of my job the next school year is disheartening, but I am going to make the best of this situation! With the time I have, I am going to have to cut back on commissions, but only to do my best to provide you all a story, a TRUE story with the characters you have all come to know and love during these past couple years! So any support I can get from you guys, is a big step towards accomplishing this goal!  I know so many of you have been waiting to commission me, and I really do enjoy making these commissions when I can! Though I have put the project of mine to the side for FAR too long, and it is time I get this done!

Again, I thank you all for your time and support, so I feel bad for asking for more than what you have already given me! If you can’t support me fund wise, that is okay! You can also support ‘Gates of Æther’ by just getting the word about it! Tell your friends, and let them know about it!  

This last part is to let you all know that I am currently working to make the pilot comic to get the series started! This will contain MULTIPLE pages being released at once to help really set this world into motion! I will be setting up Special perks during the process of its creation, so stay tuned if you would like to know more about it! I will be releasing more info as the project progresses!  Thank you all again for all you have done, and I hope you are all just as excited as I am to finally start this adventure with Becky, Shi yu, Xue Feng, and all the rest of my characters!
