this is not a spoiler. just want to point out something you seemed to misunderstood. they are not trying to elect a North Korean as president in the South. they are trying to re-elect Code 1, the current dictator president. the deal between North and South is for North to help the current government to look like "the good guys" to win the people's sentiment. professor Han is the economic advisor of the opposition so by making him "voluntarily" defect to the North, what does make the opposition in the people's point of view? it's so exciting! can't wait to rewatch the rest with you guys! haha
