Good morning!

Ohhhhh I’m just so over the moon today. What a beautiful ceremony, I cried so hard LOL I’ve been friends with these people for almost four years, and met them through a relationship I had that was very one sided and upsetting. When I left that relationship—as with all other previous experiences—I expected the friend group to sort of close me out.

I’ve dated three cruel people since I was 15ish, and they all did the same sort of tactics where they’d insist how awful my friends are, and that we spend time with their friends instead. I lost a lot of my personal friendships due to focusing on partner’s friends and feelings, and expected these new friends of my ex to close their doors and I’d be on my own again—rebuilding friendships that I never meant to neglect, I was just too busy fighting for my life with someone who was mistreating my mental state.

It was such a blessing and a gift to see things take a different turn. I spent two years planning every hang out, making $80+ dinners for this group weekly, paid for the gas to drive over 2 hours every weekend to see them, the list goes on. I really loved the friendship I shared with these two especially, and when they became a couple I was so giddy and excited for them. Being asked to photograph their engagement (almost a year after I cut contact with our mutual connection) was a surprise and filled my heart, it meant the world to not be left behind. But then she asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, and my fiancée to stand in as a groomsman. I spent the day crying over it LOL

There is no greater gift a friend can give to me, than to be remembered. The steps they have taken to make sure I felt included, seen, and heard, meant everything to me. We had a beautiful night full of love, light and laughter. I cannot wait to see all of the photos but for now Valiant Tier’s IG has gotten lots of looks at the day!
