I was driving across Sweden last week and I happened to see a sign directing me to this small car museum in the town of Motala. I try to visit as many museums as possible, whenever I have the chance. I think I've seen most of the European automotive museums, and a few outside Europe. I could actually try to write a guide of sorts on the subject...
This Motala Motormuseum is not big, they tried to fit as many items as possible into an ornate space, which makes it look a bit cluttered. However, here you can also see interesting cars and motorcycles, some not seen in other museums.
The main goal of this trip through Sweden was the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, where an amazing ship from 1628 is exhibited, recovered from the bottom of the Baltic Sea in a very good state of preservation. It is not a motoring subject, but the originality of this exhibition is worth recommending and makes a huge impression...
