In life we are faced with things everyday that are not what they seem, shapeshifters if you will, I came across allot of this thing in Asia, id see a beautiful girl be hanging out with her and take her picture and see something totally different. 2023-10-15 15:26:44 +0000 UTCI used to have a really bad fear of amputations due to an accident I saw when I was younger, leading to ptsd. (I don't think it was even called ptsd back then I think it was just PTD but don't quote me on that I was like 3). But ya it'd make me feel so bad that when I'd see someone with a stump id just start sweating and shaking. I didn't get over it until my early 20s with therapy and my friend got a 3 legged dog that was so cute but I had to like build up the courage to slowly pet him. Then eventually play with him. Then a few years later I finally touched his stump. I'll occasionally still get a little jolt of fear when I see one now but nothing like it used to be where even if it was on the TV I'd get to a point where my eyes would well up with tears. (Also I watched a dolphins tale (tail?) When I was alone one night and that helped push me in the direction that I wanted to get past the fear) Phobias are such strange things.

He was a former Marine and is tough as nails but I saw him literally turn white as a ghost and start sweating when a dwarf came into a restaurant where we were eating lunch. He slid his food aside and excused himself from the table. Of course, we fuck with him as much as possible.
