Studio tour / Q&A!!!

Join me tomorrow (Saturday, April 3rd) at noon central (17:00 UTC) for a studio tour livestream!!!  NOTICE: This is BEFORE the Pilot's livestream this time (I think this will make more sense so I can save some topics and questions for the Pilots instead of just repeating stuff in the main stream) Hope everyone can make it!

Studio tour / Q&A!!!

Comments

Where is the new studio?

Just don`t worry, enjoy yourself man as your doing a cool job keeping everyone entertained. As a teacher & entertainer is much more than most can & that`s why I got interested in all things scientific. Go, man, Go! Have a good one Tim. Conleth, Ireland.

Conleth Byrne

Seconded. There are some other good broadcasts, but IMHO ErdayAstro is the voice of SpaceX launches.

Thanks for the tour Tim. And all I can say is (from a fellow Iowan) persevere. Those that know you, know your intent and your goals, so don't let the haters steal your joy. We all appreciate everything you do. Suggestion time, you mentioned visitors to the studio and most of the people you mentioned were fellow science people. How about someone totally separate from any kind of science. People who follow science based channels probably have some exposure already to rockets, etc. If you caught someone like Mr. Beast or some other person that isn't science based, you'd have an opportunity to grab an entirely new audience that may not know anything about rockets, but may see that video because they follow someone else and then realize, hey this is pretty cool! Just my $0.02. Keep up the awesome work!

I watched Walter Cronkite. You are the Walter Cronkite of this generation.

Thank you for bringing your humanities skills (visual, audio, enthusiasm, communication, etc.) to bear on this STEM subject. Thanks to your crew also. I have three questions: First, what can you tell us about Elon’s plans for artificial gravity on Starship’s trips to Mars?

The Merlin engine and those first stage returns seem to be nailing those suicide burns and re-lighting successfully. Could these complications we are having with re-lighting the Raptors be specific to fuel and oxidizer differences?

Is there anny good places to eat on padre

Hi everyone !

Hi Tim, the Raptor engine, seems to often be one of the key failure modes. Either because of re-lighting issues and or fuel and oxidizer flow issues. Has Elon ever spoken about why the prototypes are not executing a flip to flamey side down earlier to allow the fuels to flow to the bottom of the tanks?

how do i get to the discord?

new to this site please forgive my misuse.

hope to contribute more in the future.

w

you’re nailing it kid!

thank you Tim and your entire crew for being who you are. A modern day Walter Cronkite.

Can’t wait!

lol

beautiful! ish......

anything you think we can do to save the star hopper? Need a yard ornament at studio B?

Looking forward to it!

Watch and hear all the debris that came down near where Tim's cameras were. That was darn lucky that it all missed except for thrown up dirt and debris. Turn on the sound https://twitter.com/i/status/1378076880717373443

See below... all is not lost...
