Production: December '21

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well! Now that the craziest weekend of the year is behind us and we're on the verge of December, I thought I'd poke my head up to say hi. :)

First off, sorry I've been so quiet this month. I may have let too many things pile up, and I just felt it would be better to put my head down, get it all sorted and out of the way for good. On the plus side, I've had time to reflect on my output as MonoManiac, and with '22 just around the corner (seriously, wtf) I feel it's a good time to talk about what I've got in mind for the year ahead.

Jurk Tv
I'm making Jurk Tv its own standalone series. The premise will remain the same: Contestants take part in a variety of challenges for money and fame, taking risks and walking away with uh.. more than they expected. However, the studio is now an entire private island. The girls will be getting busy by the pool, on the beach, even among the trees. Wherever the crew can fit a SeMachine, there'll be a challenge waiting.

Right now I'm working on a pilot episode featuring the show's host, the pink-haired, sexually-enhanced Vicky Vandemann, who also happens to be the feature girl of this post!

RNG
This series has had a sketchy start. There are now three releases - one's text-heavy, the other two are more in line with what I've done before. This doesn't sit well with me, and I'm sure people picking them up from my store are a little confused at the sudden format change. I'd like to go back to the Chapter 01: Glitch, and give it the comic treatment so it sits better with Chapter 02 and DLC 01, before I produce any additional chapters within this series. This might not be for a while yet, but once it's ready it'll be free for those who have already purchased the text-heavy version.

2042
Not going to lie, I kind of miss it. However, there are a bunch of issues that don't sit well with me. From the beginning of the year, the 2042 series was already looking as bloated and convoluted as Dani's uterus, and in an effort to keep the ball rolling I made several poor, and rushed, creative decisions that only made matters worse. If I were to return to creating anything based on 2042, I'd seriously consider focusing it on the Richmonds exclusively.

'21 Sucked
Straight up, this year's been a real mess for me content-wise, at least from my point of view. Failing to deliver on things I've teased, multiple times. Disappointing fans of the 2042 series by putting it on hold. Changing formats for stories, then changing them back. Struggling to find a good balance of action, expansion, and exposition.

I think all this is because I've been constantly doubting myself, wondering if my ideas are actually enjoyable, and I've ended up throwing more stuff away than I've put out.

'22 will be different.

As I chip away at Jurk Tv Episode 01, I'll also be posting holiday themed images throughout the month. Until I next pop my head up, take care of yourselves. :)
