RNG | Preparing Installation, Please Stand By

About time for an update. I’ve been away too long.

I’m very excited to announce RNG as my new long-term project! A collection of intertwining stories featuring the girls of the Mono cast, set in a world where the physical and digital spaces have become one. Keep an eye out for any glitches..

The presentation is a departure from the ‘comic-like’ style of 2042, which I admit I’ve struggled on and off with (hence my recent lack of updates), and will instead play out as a mixture of higher quality artworks / sequences and detailed written segments. Like a collection of.. little sexy picture books?

I feel this change to the presentation is what I’ve needed to reignite my enthusiasm for this stuff, if this prototyping phase has been anything to go on. With the comic-style format I felt I was either spending too long working on mundane shots for the story’s sake, burning myself out and spreading my effort thin across too many images, or removing the fluff and focusing on the juicy shots, which I felt was cheapening the whole thing due to a lack of any coherent story as a result of creative limitations. Both options eventually became stressful..  I wanted to make sure I always had a product worthy of addition to my Gumroad store and found it incredibly difficult to justify releasing certain things I've been working on. Recently, I just came to loathe sitting down to work on anything connected to 2042 because it felt tied to the comic format.

While I don’t want to say too much yet, since I’m still working out the details, RNG feels like a spiritual successor to 2042. Some characters Play similar roles (I can no longer see Cora as anything other than a slutty academic) but the world they live in is different, and these Players must abide by different rules. There will still be plenty of pregnancy and related themes, maybe even something to keep the gainer enthusiasts among you happy too.. provided you’re not using the excessive side of DeviantArt as your main reference for anatomy. 0.0 Though a little maternal thiccening never hurt anyone.

The loose threads in 2042, I don’t really know, maybe I’ll go back to finish them off someday.

Right now I can only give a rough ETA for the first RNG release, I’m anticipating first half of July, since I’m still working a few things out. This long wait for any new material is probably frustrating for some of you, especially since I haven’t produced the goods in two months of pledging, however if you’re happy to stick around I am grateful for your continued support while I work towards completing the first chapter of this new exciting project. Here on Patreon I aim to share teasers, previews, and provide more information on what to expect in the next few weeks in the run up to release.
