Meaning the Starks defeated his family when he was a child and he took him to Winterfell as like a prisoner. kinda but not really bc as you can see he is treated about as well as Jon Snow(Ned’s bastard son aka the result of an affair Ned had) . Taking Lord Greyjoys only son ensures the Greyjoy’s wouldn’t retaliate against the Starks later. As you can already tell he tends to have some identity issues bc he was raised with a different family as a prisoner of sorts. He was born in the Iron Islands but has lived in Winterfell for most of his life. He grew up with the Stark kids so he is almost family but like Jon Snow he is kinda an outsider. He’s around the same age as Jon and Rob I think

Jon Aryn visited all of Robert's other children and they all had dark hair, even the ones whose mother's were blond. That's what he meant by "the seed is strong". And yep, that is the mighty Tywin. I love how he is introduced butchering a stag which is a sigil of house baratheon.

This gave her time to prepare, to seat her son on the throne that she could now control acting through him. Littlefinger alligning with Cersei and Joffrey instead of Ned was something we should have all seen coming since he did tell him not to trust him 😂 Ned is way too honourable and he's surrounded with shady people like Cersei, Littlefinger, Varys etc
