Ah, I'm just venting because I'm frustrated. I feel like I put all this effort into actually making sure it's correct, only to have somebody tell me I'm technically wrong every time I use any foreign phrases in my work, for any character. For instance, I've got people breathing down my neck on FA about how I make Vera speak, even though I actually talked to native Poles about how to make her phrases grammatically correct. I feel like I'm constantly getting chastised by teachers in school or something XD So, if I have more French phrases for her, I'll try to remember to poke you about it. Thanks for offering!

A long time ago, I offered to help you with the translations, to which you replied pretty much the same thing : nobody's ever content about them. I can only understand and respect that, but as Riddler356 and Zhon Lord said, it's really great that you take the time to do this kind of thing, even if it isn't your first language, because I think it gives the character a bit more realism. Now, if you wish, I could stop pointing out ; or, I'm still interested in helping you with the french part. We could be 2 or 3, to check that everyone is okay with the translation :P Whatever you decide, know that your comics are really amazing, french or no french. (even though I don't get to see much french in furry comics ;P)

This isn't meant towards you, but it feels like every time I try to use any foreign words or phrases in my comics, even researching and asking native speakers to make sure it's correct, I always have people point out it's wrong. I just wonder if I should give up trying to incorporate that stuff at this point, since it's always incorrect, no matter how much effort I put into it X3

2019-01-06 22:04:15 +0000 UTCAwesome ! <3 As always If I may... I suspect that you tried to translate "What's this ?", which indeed litteraly is "C'est quoi ?", but it means more like "What is this thing here ?". A better translation might be just "Quoi ?", as in "What ? Huh ?"
