1980s movies that shaped our humanity

So in this video I highlight 5 movies about empathy and solidarity from the 1980s that had a profound impact on me and my values growing up. The cinematic moments that left the biggest impression on me were unapologetically sappy and sentimental. As you might imagine none of these movies are referenced in Ready Player One and Hollywood isn't exactly rushing to reboot any of them.
