Did Jaune forget to heal Cinder? I’d have thought they would be one of the first things he did upon seeing her injuries. Also that will strengthen their bond even more. I like that Jaune, even if he is on the side of good, is more like a rogue player/piece compared to everyone else. It helps that he’s been alone for so long and most things Salem even did are in the distant past to him. I do hope there is more to Salem’s interest in Jaune than just the fact that he is seeking her death, and that he is a descendant of someone. I’m really curious if she can sense anything off about him due to his time spent in the Everafter or the fact that his body was remade or transformed via something that may be older than magic. I still wonder if that could let Jaune get any sort of new abilities, maybe Salem could coerce them out of him or something, or do something to activate something. Afterall, it’s not like she needs to really worry about Jaune becoming too powerful or killing her, they both know she can outlast him.
