Recap:

Starting with the poll results:
I'm going to use the next couple days to double check sales, then buy all but the most expensive part (the GPU) and I should have the whole thing built before my little trip on Jan 15-21. The GPU will wait for a while, since I want to make sure I get a good one right off the bat, instead of going for the cheap-ish route like last time. I will say, though, that Blender supports rendering with multiple GPUs without needing Crossfire or SLI, so no matter what I do or what I buy, I can use the older card to help the newer one.

Next, recent modeling stuff:
I like the Switch dog, although I made her quite a bit more chunky than I initially planned.
I plan on making another Sym, probably Fenneko from Aggretsuko, or something more cliche, like Krystal from Star Fox, or one of the girls from Solatorobo, if I'm feeling particularly brave. I would like to make a human Sym or two, but I haven't decided on one.
Heck, IDK, I still need to get around to modeling a new hybrid to replace one being cut, as per the last Strawpoll poll; I want the next one to be non-mammalian, preferably with a flat chest.

Side stuff, IRL and Christmas:
Everyone got gifts they wanted, Christmas breakfast was amazing (although lonely, as a family member had physical issues and the only relatives with kids moved away) and nothing went particularly bad, minus a totally shameful fuckup where two family members pooled money to buy an "amazing gift" only to be scammed into paying twice as much for a bad Chinese knockoff that was extremely poor quality and has a ton of loopholes to be able to return it. That gift is a particularly hot potato, since one of the two that pooled their money, the one that picked it out in the first place, is HIGHLY sensitive and will crumble emotionally and psychologically if the news gets out that the gift was almost 200$ of wasted money and time.
I got a pressure cooker, which is totally UNF, I already made some dang good curry, although my grandpa got clumsy and dropped one of two bowls of the leftovers, shattering a bowl I've owned for almost a decade.
I'm looking forward to my trip in January, but I'm definitely glad I'm not paying for it, I'm poor as heck IRL, so the thought of paying for the plane and convention tickets would give me a stroke!

TL;DR:
Pannetia is being removed and replaced, I'm shopping for computer parts (minus GPU) with a ~$600 budget, Switch dog is good, starting another new Sym soon-ish, I have a relative who roped another into getting ripped off for nearly $100 each, I'm going on a weeklong trip in mid-January, Christmas was good, but too quiet this year.
