To start, all money (after Patreon/PayPal fees) will be tallied and totaled as a separate value from my personal bank account. This amount of money will not be touched for personal reasons of any kind (outside of literal life-or-death emergencies, and even then I'd call it a loan and "pay back" to it afterwards).
Any costs directly related to this Patreon, such as upgrading to a higher tier on MEGA or replacement parts for my computer would be subtracted from the total saved money. If there's an emergency with my computer that costs more than the amount in there, I will use my personal money without regret.
As the value rises, I will start bargain hunting for quality parts for a future computer and eventually I'd have all the parts to build a fresh and new PC that will handle rendering much better than this elderly PC I'm currently using. That would mean more proper cloth physics, more special effects, faster rendering, etc. The end result would be that I'd have higher quality animations that contain more of the fancy schmancy CG stuff without my computer melting.
After all is said and done, and I have a shiny new render machine, I would run a poll deciding how much money should be saved as a buffer to prevent surprise emergencies, since I wouldn't have a CG related goal to save up for.
