Update! 25 weeks and so happy to be dancing to "Ragga Ragga" by Byron Lee & The Dragonnaires

Some Bubbling to get you all pumped up for learning some bubbling. :)

Dress and belt made by me.
Song is "Ragga Ragga" by Byron Lee and the Dragonnaires. Forever and for always one of my absolute favourite songs.

Hello!
I would just like to check in after having been so absent.

After my last batch of videos things with my pregnancy and life were going alright and I was finally starting to say good bye to unpleasant pregnancy symptoms and feel a bit like myself again, and then a piece broke off of one of one of my maxillary molars just as I hit 19 weeks. Decided my dentist should take a look (the tooth had been previously been root canaled, twice) so the break was not painful but I thought better safe than sorry.
It was decided that since the break was worse than it felt and the tooth could not be saved, &  there have been issues with this tooth and sinus infections in the past that the tooth needed to be extracted (both my dentist and obgyn said that risk of infection was the greatest concern for baby and I). So at 19 weeks and 4 days, much to my anguish, the tooth was extracted. Unfortunately due to being pregnant I could only have local freezing. It was in the words of my dentist "a very difficult extraction", and in my words  "traumatic" & an experience I hope to never have to repeat. It took almost 2 hours to get that one tooth out. The tooth broke more, so then he sectioned it to try and remove it one root at a time, but my roots were very big and very solid and were not interested in coming out lol, and I was not holding the freezing well. Then a root broke.  Eventually the tooth was finally out, leaving huge socket holes and then it was discovered I had infection on the jaw bone. They were able to surgically clean the infection then and there but it still managed to stay infected and get worse after a couple of days. I ended up in addition to the infection also having dry socket (a blood clot fails to form, leaving exposed bone, which is VERY painful). I had to basically stay on bed rest and antibiotics for just over 2 weeks. My tooth socket had to be cleaned and packed with medicated filling multiple times a day for almost 3 weeks. I would like to thank my mom for cleaning and packing the socket for me during this time as it was impossible to do myself.

On the bright side I still had my 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound on schedule and baby is doing great. They were thankfully unbothered it seems by my tooth troubles lol (glad one of us was).

I am still healing and still have one small piece of exposed bone left but its much better and much more manageable now :)

Of course here in Ontario the pandemic is not going well and we are now back under "stay at home order" so I was left without much useful internet access. I just finally got the next batch uploaded (I was fortunately feeling able enough the 2 days before the tooth was extracted to get some lessons filmed, I realize I sound congested in them, it's because I was lol) but getting them up proved to be a whole other challenge.
Anyway they are now successfully uploaded and the internet powers to be have seemed to bless me with internet to get them up today.
I wanted to get stuff posted for International Dance Day yesterday (thursday) but it kept failing to post:(

Thank you for your patience and understanding and my apologies I could not get anything up sooner.
I will be catching up as soon as I am able on welcoming new members and answering questions.

Hope everyone is safe and well where they are and coping with 2021 as best as they can.

Here is some bubbling, filmed on the day baby and I made it to 25 weeks to hopefully get you excited for the upcoming Bubbling tutorials I will be posting after this.

My tooth extraction was March 23rd and this was filmed April 23rd. I did not dance at all for a whole month. It felt soooo good to dance again. I am sharing this because when we have to step away for a time period of something we have been working on, or something we enjoy, or our work and so one, we can tend to beat ourselves up about it, feel sad about it etc. Those are all normal feelings. By the 2 week mark I was at peak melodrama and starting to feel like I might never dance again  (lol) and those 2 weeks felt like 2 months but I had to prioritize letting my body heal. It was the best thing I could do for myself and my baby. It was only another 2 weeks before I would feel well enough to dance again, and it felt so good when it did.
Dance will always be there waiting for you while you take time for yourself for whatever reason. There is no "break" that is too long. You can always come back to it and it will always welcome you.
(My due date has been bumped up a week based on ultrasound scans but we will see. Seems to me that babies don't seem to care about due dates, they just come when they are ready ❤).

Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoy learning some bubbling.

Take care of yourselves ❤❤❤
