EARLY ACCESS: The Try Guys Recreate Awkward Middle School Photos

It was the best of times, but mostly of the worst of times! But we made it out and here we are! Share your middle school pics with us on social! We wanna see them!

Ha! That seems about the safest midlife crisis I can think of. I think these recreations are wonderful ideas and that your son would end up treasuring it. We have a couple I would love to recreate. One is of my two youngest brothers, who fell asleep on one of their beds, crisscrossing each other. The other, which would need more prep, is of my brother as a little kid after he fell into mud; he was standing holding his arms out in one pic, and in another, the littlest brother was examining him closely.

I cut my own hair in second through fourth grades (you couldn't tell in my third-grade school photo because I cut it in the back). The weirder pictures started in fifth grade, when I was a redhead in a red corduroy suit. I had a ridiculous perm and wore a plaid sweater dress in sixth grade, and in seventh grade, I tried to style my own hair and instead got some sort of bad version of Shin Lim, the magician from America's Got Talent. I'll try to find those school pictures.

I loved watching this video. It was more introspective than I expected, which was cool, and I liked seeing the guys process their memories and consider their self-perceptions. I also liked Keith's idea that people should recreate photos more often. I love when people do that.

I got glasses in sixth grade, and a bad perm and braces in seventh grade. Mom dressed me like it was the early-mid nineties (tucked in shirts, braided leather belts, waist-high acid-washed pants) and they were too short because she shopped in the kids section til I was a sophomore. It’s almost like she set me up lol

Loved the video! I asked my two adult kids if they would be willing to recreate a picture I loved of them when they were younger. My daughter has agreed but my son thinks I’m out of my mind and going thru a midlife crisis. LOL

Any idea how we find the bonus story time scene?

Wow. The reflecting hit me right in the guts. I had a Media Studies teacher who could see all the dark and twisty bits inside of me and helped me channel that energy creatively as well. I don't know where I'd be without her. Outstanding video. Love it when you guys get really heartfelt and shoot us straight through with messages to love ourselves. <3

Keith's before and after looks like he got put through a pasta roller. In a good way!

I really, really appreciate this video. Not only is it silly and funny, but it feels so real. It's really down to earth and feels genuine. Thanks for sharing!

Heavily relatable...
