Added 2019-03-12 15:01:00 +0000 UTCWe got our chi flowing and opened our third eyes with tiny little needles all over our bodies. Would you try acupuncture?

Sooo just gotta day this: shoving a needle into common nerve endings and along nerve bundles is not alternative medicine nor is it anything besides stimulating nerves by perturbing them.

2019-03-21 01:55:56 +0000 UTCSuper cool video. I've been terrified of needles my entire life but I feel like I might actually try acupuncture now!

2019-03-15 22:24:36 +0000 UTCI've done acupuncture before and it was NOT for me. I could feel every needle going in and it just made me super uncomfortable. He also gave me this powder to mix in with warm water to drink that tasted like fish dirt
Phil Vaive
2019-03-14 18:33:06 +0000 UTCDid you have the same reaction to the chiropractic video? I don't see much difference between acupuncture and chiropractic but no one seems to respond like this to Dr. Trumpi. Of course he washed his hands! And that wasn't even Bowie.

2019-03-14 01:25:49 +0000 UTCWow, this video kind of made my wife & I super uncomfortable. I wish you'd mentioned if he'd washed his hands after petting Bowie! Especially since he didn't wear any gloves and it looked like his fingers were touching the needles themselves and pushing them in deeper after they were out of the straw. That one right next to Keith's nose was so deep and there's so much delicate stuff in that area! We're supportive in many alternative medicines - my wife goes to a chiropractor, and practices herbalism herself, and I am learning some herbalism. We're witches! But some of this guy's claims were... grandiose. And promising to fix anything is sketchy at best. There's not really any guarantees with anything, from well-studied mainstream medicine to the spells I do at home. I hope you're all feeling okay. We love y'all. If you feel better after the acupuncture -great! But the way this guy spoke just puts us on edge.

2019-03-13 17:20:11 +0000 UTCI'm curious about the procedure he was doing. It looked like these were in a protective sleeve of sorts? Also some were blue and some more silver/metallic? wasn't sure if that made a difference or just what he had on-hand.

2019-03-13 16:43:04 +0000 UTCThis video was awesome and makes me want to try acupuncture all the more. That doctor is so very cool and funny (and yes I totally saw how hot he was from the beginning) and I’m pretty sure was flirting with Eugene. 😉 I know the Try Guys don’t need “one more white guy” but holy shit can Doctor Hot Stab join the crew? LOL

2019-03-13 09:53:41 +0000 UTCI was psyched as soon as I saw the title. I've always been curious about acupuncture, and I knew with the Try Guys that I would get candid reactions. I was surprised by the mild sensations experienced by most of the Try Guys (with Eugene I felt like I was watching the labor video again, only I think here it was more about freaky sensations). I would totally do this now that I've seen this video, if I had something that acupuncture could help me with. Thanks Guys!

2019-03-13 08:31:37 +0000 UTCfrom what I heard it works especially when used in conjunction with western treatment. the couple in question went to china to do it tho.

2019-03-13 06:01:10 +0000 UTCIt makes me so happy that they got an actual acupuncturist and not someone that just does 'dry needling'. As in " Here's a tender spot, lets stick a needle in it!" Seriously if you ever decide to try acupuncture makes sure it is with someone that knows the meridian lines.

2019-03-13 05:55:24 +0000 UTCwhere is the link to the onesie's?! i need them. also, it really bothered me that the guy didn't wear gloves.

2019-03-13 00:21:57 +0000 UTCOnesie is a great addition to the Try Merch but how about kid's sized tees? My kids are way too big for baby sizes but way too small for adult...

2019-03-12 22:21:17 +0000 UTCI remember going to acupuncture appointments with a childhood friend and her mom, who has MS and she used to get it done all the time. I would love to try it!

2019-03-12 22:19:19 +0000 UTCJust saying right now, haven't watched the episode yet. Horrible fear of acupuncture. Once in 6th grade I almost passed out listening to an acupuncturist explaining the process. We'll see how this goes. I'm too big of a fan to skip the episode. Will comment on here if I survive or not.
Asher Meyer
2019-03-12 22:06:22 +0000 UTCHonestly I have had it several times and for the most part you don't feel many of the needles. Tell them about your nerves and they will go easy on you. :)
Leslie Washkowiak
2019-03-12 21:38:15 +0000 UTCI have had acupuncture several times and Eugene's kidney reaction is on point. The stress point that helps me the most is the pad between the thumb and forefinger and the top flat part of the ear. I massage those places when I feel stress and it helps. I need to go back to my acupuncturist. She is amazing!
Leslie Washkowiak
2019-03-12 21:33:39 +0000 UTCThe acupuncturist is 50?! Get outta town! I've always wondered about acupuncture; very interesting video!

2019-03-12 19:49:07 +0000 UTCOne of the few things in the world that doesn’t bother my usually sensitive self is needles so maybe I’ll give it a go as a massage alternative (as that’s too painful for me). I can see how the needles might stimulate certain nerves and provide tight/inflamed areas with a little relief, though obviously it isn’t a cure-all.

2019-03-12 19:14:53 +0000 UTCFollow-up question: Did it help you guys? Did it help with the pain, digestion and insomnia?

2019-03-12 16:57:54 +0000 UTCsomeone wrote this above, but for everyone who is getting a black screen: log out of patreon and log back in! worked fine after that.

2019-03-12 16:57:36 +0000 UTCI can’t see it!!! I put in the pass code on different devices and the screen is blank
Eva velez
2019-03-12 16:55:32 +0000 UTCThis is the only Try Guys video where I had to look away from the screen at different points while yelling “NO NO NO NO NO” ....but this was also very interesting. I very much related to Eugene’s response to the stress question at the beginning, and then his reactions to the needles scared me because I’m pretty sure I’d be the same way... but then his thoughts at the end make me think I should try it? I dunno, I’m getting a tattoo next week and that might be the closest I will get to acupuncture. 😬
Taralei Griffin
2019-03-12 16:53:16 +0000 UTCFor anyone having trouble, I got the black screen as well at first. I logged out of Patreon and logged back in, and then it worked.

2019-03-12 16:51:37 +0000 UTCDid you guys change something on your videos? The last two will not load for me. I went and tested out older videos and they work just fine.

2019-03-12 16:16:47 +0000 UTCSuper squeamish and had to cover my eyes a few times but very interesting and informative. Can you guys do a follow up post about how you felt a few days or weeks after?

2019-03-12 16:08:16 +0000 UTCThe only way to know one way or another if it's effective is to get it done yourself. I was a skeptic too but I really do think stimulating these points work with the body to have these intended effects. Also being science-minded, I think it's more working with the nerves and tissues than placebo because I didn't go into it with any understanding or expectations and I felt more loopy and relaxed than I ever have and my pain was gone (for a couple hours at least, heh). Thousands of years of practice should account for something! That said, I think it's an adjunct, not a cure-all. I combine acupuncture/cupping/tui na with physical therapy and just generally trying to be active and eat right. It works well for me. :)

2019-03-12 16:06:12 +0000 UTC"I've done a lot of taint stuff." "I bet you have..." 🤣🤣🤣 Acupuncture is amazing. I'm so pleased everyone had a (generally) positive experience. When I lived in the Bay Area I noticed hospitals had dedicated inpatient acupuncture departments. There can definitely be a happy marriage between the eastern and western medicine! I will be sending this video to my brother in law to share on his channel. He is an acupuncturist and is gonna love it.
Christine Adriana -- Nurse Joy
2019-03-12 16:01:18 +0000 UTCIt was really nice to hear Ned express his skepticism. I was raised in a very science minded environment as well, so I come to all of this from a place of skepticism. If I can admit, any of your videos that deal with pseudoscience I am always a bit hesitant to share because I was raised to think it's essentially a scam. That being said, I kinda get it now. Even if it is just a psychological effect, it is still useful to many people. I might not be a believer, but I can respect it. Also, you gotta give Ned a chance to represent us science minded people and have him make a science video once in a while!!

2019-03-12 15:56:01 +0000 UTCThe fried chicken moment was the best part about this. I'm also now very concerned with what my tongue says about me.

2019-03-12 15:55:37 +0000 UTCTaint stuff??? ROFLAMO!!! :-) The Acupuncturist is game! :-) THis is a rather good video. I've been thinking about acupuncture for *years* - maybe it's time to get some.
Nikola Howard
2019-03-12 15:50:15 +0000 UTCI was having trouble with the video also, but tried in incognito mode and that worked. So if anyone else is having trouble, may try a different browser, or clear your cache/cookies.

2019-03-12 15:46:27 +0000 UTCI loved this. I absolutely love acupuncture . I wish that insurance companies would cover it because I think it could provide great relief to so many people that couldn’t otherwise afford it .

2019-03-12 15:44:06 +0000 UTCTry clicking on a different video, then try this one again. It's the only method that works for me.

2019-03-12 15:39:17 +0000 UTCI had acupuncture done a few years ago and it was the most relaxed and weightless I have ever felt. I am normally a ball of stress but I felt like I was walking on a cloud after and my husband was shocked to see how it affected me. Zach’s face after was pretty much what I looked like.

2019-03-12 15:33:57 +0000 UTCI love this! My friend is an acupuncturist and is the owner of our very small business! Acupuncture unravels layers of symptoms to get to the root cause of the pain. Some people never stay with treatment long enough to get the results they want, but I've also seen people come in for acupuncture treating it like a 'date night'. Acupuncture is highly beneficial for many ailments when done with the right number of treatment sessions, usually no less than 16-20 visits for chronic pain, if not more. Long post, so sorry! tl;dr: acupuncture yeilds amazing results when used properly

2019-03-12 15:27:49 +0000 UTCI get dry needling done, which is close but not quite... But now I really want to try acupuncture! But why was Eugene in so much pain?

2019-03-12 15:19:05 +0000 UTCNot working for me either
