I have some questions about the censorship in my comics. Is it a hassle for you to use black boxes? I'm not sure if it damages the art too much.
Do you think I should switch to just censoring genitals (uncensored nipples) with heavy blur?

2025-01-09 18:57:45 +0000 UTCThe thing is; using a blur doesn't work when you have someone who can just unblur it at the end of the day. I know how to unblur images, it's not difficult to do just somewhat of a time cost.

2025-01-09 03:27:08 +0000 UTCIv never been a fan of the censorship but I get why you need to do it to keep people from putting your art out there before youโre ready for it to be there. That being said the bars do take away from the art in my opinion. All the colors and actions in the comics are broken up by the big black boxes that are just there. I think blurring would work in the long run without taking away from the art.

You should experiment with thematic censoring, like a cloud of steam for a shower pic or someone conveniently stretching to cover the view of another's genitals. Censoring nipples is never appropriate though. Topless is justice!
