My mom was indeed hit by a deer while driving one morning. It happens. lol. Such a weird thing to happen, but it does indeed happen IRL. Her deer was thankfully okay, she also got out to check on it. I watched Gilmore Girls once several years ago and it's so weird rewatching it now and seeing that story line after it just happened to my mom within the last year. Bizarre.

2025-06-23 07:35:07 +0000 UTCthe movement is so nice it keeps me engaged a lot more than two people just standing and talking or sitting and talking - even though those scenes also have their place. but also the movement makes it feel more realistic to me! i really enjoy this part of the show :)

This show premiered shortly after The West Wing though so I'm not sure how much of an influence it was.. Really enjoyed Rory standing up for herself here. She's been at Chilton for awhile & has tried to assimilate. Everyone has their breaking point out and her getting up in Paris's grill was very satisfying. Lorelai standing up Rory was just as satisfying. Lorelai grew up in this world so she's not exactly an outsider. She bristles at it though & isn't willing to follow their artificial niceties. Glad Lane is back & we get another look at just how oppressive her environment is. Luke though is unfortunately even less of a factor here than last week.
