oh let's gooooo! one of my favorite shows of all time!

Clara Gros-Louis

Now looking at her filmography, I see she was the wife in The Sixth Sense. Wow. Completely missed all of this is the same person.

Melissa

Watching along with you for the first time! It's so fun seeing Eliza in this lead role. So excited to finally watch this, it's been way overdue for me as an Eliza superfan. Aw, Baby Haley (girl who was kidnapped). She was in a long time role on General Hospital where the actress grew up on the show into a young adult, but IRL she got into some major trouble with a DUI that almost killed someone. Spent time in rehab and jail, so she was rightfully fired. Sorry, my soap knowledge is probably only useful to me here. But very excited for a new show with you! And I'm late on this by 4 days but it took me some time with all the holiday stuff going on.

Melissa

Ah, I knew she looked familiar! Never would have guessed I knew her from Friends though lol.

Melissa

So here for this journey!! I loved this show!!

Becky Mitchell

Another actor in the show that some may recognize is the main character Adele DeWitt - she was the bridesmaid in the Friends episode in London that Joey hooked up with. She was the one who told Joey to "speak New York to me" LOL.

Christine

So fucking ready for this journey

Tim

I'm sure whoever Darcy has helping her will make the best decision for her. 13 was never intended to even exist. It was made after season 1 was completed and only for the completion of the DVD. It was a spur of the moment idea, made on a tiny budget very quickly. It was intended as a stand alone, not a season finale. I personally like to put it near the end of season 2. I think it makes a better narrative flow that doesn't leave me obsessing over it for half of season 2, making me less focused on what's happening in season 2. I think it's fine if you prefer it at the end of season 1. I simply don't.

Samanthadiane

I don't get people who say the s1 finale is spoilery because it was always intended to be the finale. As you point out, it's part of the storytelling to build off of that in s2. It doesn't ruin anything, it's part of the journey.

I believe you are talking about Season 1 episode 13, Epitaph. I watched that off the DVD before season 2 aired and while it technically spoils the direction of the show it is not out of order, it just wasn't aired in the US. Epitaph was written and made before season 2 and I personally think they crafted season 2 around the idea of clarifying what we see in that episode and adding context as you go through the season. Honestly I think Darcie would be ok watching it at the end of season 1 or waiting and watching it before the series finale. It's her choice, but it will obviously be ok either way as long as she watches before the season 2 finale.

Jaci

Haha yes totally fair

TheLoungingPotato

I kind of forgave Darcie for not recognizing Enver since he only appeared here briefly and she watched an abbreviated version of Agent Carter season 1 and not the whole show.

Jaci

"fucked up but in the best way" is a great tagline for dollhouse

Quiver

I haven't seen this since it first came out, but it was a top-notch series, and it only gets better as it goes along. You've got a lot to look forward to...

Jamie Revell

I love that you went into this practically blind.

Eric Haefele

Yay!!! I'm so excited you're watching this and seem to enjoy it! I think after Firefly he was definitely not going to go slow burn again so it's jam packed with information and stuff. Eliza is amazing. I love her so much and that she is indeed good people. One of the best celebrities I've ever met and I enjoyed listening to her panel at comic Con. When I saw her she was actually just starting her freshman year and now she is actually helping people. It's bad ass. I was just starting my second attempt at uni at the same exact time and well... I've gone three times and still don't have a degree. 🤪 She's pretty awesome! There's definitely a watch order here. I don't remember 100% right now, but I'm pretty sure I'd advise not watching the first season finale before season 2. The network messed up the order as per usual and watching it first is major spoilage and confusing, IMO. I never watch it in order anymore. I watched it as it aired and it was a mess. So I'm glad you've got some help on that front! I love how your brain works. Like even before watching the show you were thinking about what it could be and you were really close, like people manipulating dolls and such! I'm so excited for you to see how it all comes together! Yay!! I'm so happy you chose dollhouse! ❤️

A couple of people that you have seen before but didn’t mention; Mr Dominick, the head of security and right hand man to Adele (the main woman in charge), he played Daniel Whitehall (the Nazi head of Hydra) on Agents of Shield. And the Russian Informant that Paul talked to in the bathroom played agent Daniel Souza (the guy with the walking cane thing) on Marvel’s Agent Carter.

Ray D

Genuinely love this show. And what a compelling pilot! So an actor that you would recognize but might not have mentioned it (very possible that I missed it) was Enver Gjokaj, who played Daniel Sousa in Agent Carter! He was the guy held at gunpoint who pissed all over his shoes I think he's such a brilliant actor--I need him and pretty much the entirety of this cast in more things, pronto

TheLoungingPotato

Yep, Skye's mom is here, and good call on Marty from Cabin in the Woods! But I'm surprised you didn't seem to catch that business guy was Hydra's own Dr. Whitehall from Agents of Shield. Anyway, glad to see you're watching this show - I always thought it was cool, and not only because I had a huge crush on Eliza Dushku.

Neil Silverman

Awesome way to end the year! Dollhouse's premise is pretty dark so the show tends to be more dramatic overall, but there will still be plenty of action, humor and science fiction to help keep the episodes from feeling too heavy. Also, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen (show runners for Agents of SHIELD) were staff writers on Dollhouse and they threw in lots of nods and Easter eggs into AoS to honor their time spent working on this show.

Jaci

One of my favorite shows. What a Christmas treat!
