I'm half way through and before I forget- you mention the people interview being better. I think honestly it was because Joss wasn't there, they felt free. Now knowing, we know Joss was a dictator and many are still afraid of him or to speak about/around him. I see their smiles as freedom because he isn't there. I think by this point Charisma had spoken about him but I'm not sure on dates. But yeah that's my thoughts. SMG didnt even speaking up, she just left support to charisma and others who spoke up. She did it publicly which was good but she never tells her real side. It's very obvious that Joss was wearing buffy/SMG down and she was at her peak at that time with big movie deals. Joss was jealous of her imo. From rumors, Joss is why SMG wanted to finish buffy and be done. You can see the strain really hit in season 6 imo. Ok rant over lol sucks cause Joss puts out such great stories, but such a narcissist. **Added. I wish they had talked about lorne. No hate at all, but they mention Doyle/Glenn who didn't necessarily leave on good terms,but no mention of the actor or Lorne who was on there for years. He came in season 2 I believe. Upsetting for sure.

2024-09-23 01:27:25 +0000 UTCI know I’m in the minority and even though I love both shows, I like Angel more than Buffy personally. Buffy is a superhero show. It follows the same formula every season, there’s a big bad and Buffy, the morally good superhero stops them by the end of every season. Angel on the other hand has a more overarching villain in Worfram and Hart that spans the whole show. I also find the character of Angel, a morally grey character that has this demon inside him that he is always fighting to keep at bay a more interesting lead for a show. He fights because he is searching for redemption for all of the bad that he’s done in the past and because it’s the right thing to do. I just find that Buffy is more Black and White, good vs evil where Angel is more grey. And I find that more interesting in general.
