Captain Malcolm and Zoe are not really criminals by choice. They were on the losing side of a war (that they deeply believed in) and have refused to give in and live in the Alliance. Jayne is more a criminal because it is his nature. So, their morals are a bit different. I literally have the show's theme song as the ringtone on my phone.

2024-05-10 15:46:07 +0000 UTCSo being brand new to this show and not having seen all of AOS but some- I feel like firefly is soooo AOS coded. Or AOS was firefly coded idk haha. But one walked so the other could run kinda vibe. I'm sad this only has 1 season but if what Samantha says above is true - we gotta watch the movie. Coded I mean : The plane/ship, the captain and shep put together being coulson, the girl being sky, the second hand (jasmine in angel) is like the cavalry may,Jane is like ward. The mechanic and guy who flies ship maybe Fitz and Simmons ? But seriously they seem like the same team lol

I also really love her in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'm so happy you're enjoying the show :D I also don't vibe with Jayne, but he is a fan favourite. I'm so excited for you to see all the episodes! I can't remember if you are planning to or if you have already, but the movie is really worth the watch after the series is over. I saw it first and it made me want to watch the series. Very excited for everything! <3
