You’re edit about who Hannah’s dad was (the plastic surgeon that was the witness that put Logan on the bridge the night of Felix’s murder) was correct and that was the reveal that Logan knew who Hannah’s dad was and targeted her to date as a message to the father. That’s why they shared that knowing look. As for the episode, for whatever reason this is one of my favorite stand alone cases of the week. I just think it’s a very well put together mystery about the missing cash box, the carnival is a fun setting and I love it when Veronica solves it in front of everyone at the end. Then one last twist with weevil makes it so good. As for Beaver and Dick, I don’t think you are supposed to like Dick. He’s always bullying Beaver and being, well, a dick to everyone. I do think you are supposed to like beaver. I agree that the Trans prank today comes off very badly but at the time I didn’t think twice about it. It was a different time and we’ve all grown. I think Rob Thomas would even think it was in poor taste now. I believe the intent of the show was to have Dick get is comeuppance for treating beaver badly. And it’s supposed to make you feel good that beaver and Mac got dick back for being so terrible to them. In todays society it plays differently.

2024-03-13 23:05:21 +0000 UTCDick is... well, he's Dick, as Veronica would say. He's a bully, but I would be lying if I said I didn't find him funny. Beaver has done some unconscionable things (like leaving Veronica passed out in bed at Shelly Pomroy's party and the "prank" he pulled on his brother this episode). He seems to have a "I have something to prove" personality which I don't personally find appealing, but it makes sense given what we have seen of his relationship with his family. To Beaver's credit, he seems much nicer than his brother and is very ambitious for a 16 year old (trying to start his own company) which is probably what attracted Mac. Whether you like them or not is up to you (obviously), but I appreciate their presence this season as a consequence for Veronica reintegrating into the 09ers.
