1. Yay Xena! Lol. Although she played a bit of a jerk here. 2. I love that lamb is how Duncan got across the border. 3. I love that Vinny helped. 4. I love Duncan. I always have. I'm so happy he took that baby. I cried when we heard her name, too.

Well to this American, Krispy Kreme >>>> Dunkin. But local donut shops are usually the best. Glad to see Duncan go. I never really warmed up to him. And what a dramatic way to go lol. The break-up was a nice fake-out too. Something just felt "off " about that whole sequence, which I guess in retrospect, was intentional.

And keeping with the Tim Horton's analogy, once upon a time, Dunkin used to be quite good. They used to make their donuts and other food right there in the shops, and they were fresh and tasty. I used to go in college in the mid-90s to get bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches and they would actually crack fresh eggs onto a griddle. Now it's all pre-packaged egg product and donuts made in centralized factories and shipped to the stores. I don't know exactly when it changed or why - I suspect franchising had to do with it. Anyway, I'm much less familiar with Tim Hortons, but I have tried them several times over the years and they definitely were once much better than they are now as well. It's sad, really.

A very well put together caper. Definitely a standout episode of season 2. I never much cared about Duncan as a character or the relationship with him and Veronica. So I wont miss him. Random thought, for some reason I like that Dick calls Veronica "Ronnie". There's something I find endearing about it. Oh and to answer your question about Dunkin Donuts in the states, their donuts are terrible. Almost any local bakery is going to be better. Their coffee is pretty good though. But in the end it's probably a lot like how you seem to feel about Tim Hortons.
