Okay, so story time: I met Andy Hallett (Lorne) a few years before he died. I was living in L.A. and working the graveyard shift in a 24-hour porn store/sex shop on Melrose Ave, and this guy in an Angel jacket walks in. Of course, I have no idea who he is, because he's not green. But when I'm ringing him up, I see his name, and I'm like "Holy shit! You were my favorite character!" We got to talking and he was really nice and down to earth (and I got some inside dish on some of his co-stars, which was pretty funny). He came into the store another time or two, and we just hung out. Really a sweet, funny guy. Gone too soon.
