Late in commenting on this one because I've been without a computer for the past week and typing up these comments on my phone is a pain! The parallel plots with Gunn on the one hand and David Nabbit on the other have always made this episode feel really weird to me. I feel like they were trying to make an episode about class divisions, but since they didn't seem to have anything to say other than "look, class divisions exist", it didn't quite work? I do like Gunn himself, though; if he ends up being a recurring character, this is a great, heartwrenching way to introduce him. On that note, here's hoping we see him again! (Of course, by now you know that we will. 😊)

For the obvious reasons, yeah, but I genuinely think Michele Kelly's portrayal of her gave her the most depth we've seen for a newborn vampire. And so much personality! Thematically, I totally understand why she had to get staked. I just wish we got to have vamp!Alonna for a lot longer than we did. Would really have loved to see more of her and Gunn too, post vamp status. So fucking tragic but the actors bounced off of each other so amazingly that I would have loved to see where the story would have gone had Gunn somehow decided to let her go or she escaped before Gunn was able to kill her. Idk how--I just want it haha
