December UPDATE!

... Holy honkies and a whole lotta whoa! Where the in the damn dinosaur hell have I been!? Working. Working like a blow torch. If you like long boring descriptions of events, here's what's up! As some of you may know, my wife started a theater company geared towards audiences with mental and physical disablilties (www.allaccessperformingarts.com). Prior to this, my wife and I ran (and continue to run) a graphic design boutique for small to mid-sized businesses. Well, as she's now focusing her efforts towards making the world a better place, the number of design clients had to be throttled (she always took care of the business side of things, while I handled the design). Knowing the influx of design clients was going to seize up, work had to come from somewhere. Last year around the beginning of Winter I was approached by a number of companies and entities about animation work. Work I had to decline, due to working full-time on our business. And to be honest, I don't know how confident I was to take it on. Well, they came back, and this time ... I said "yes". To all of them. Now, I've never been a full-time animator. Since 2011 I've been making animations on the side, inbetween design and voicing. But bills are bills, and you gotta do what you gotta do, especially when your partner is starting a new company all together. I had high hopes for November, and while we got some fun projects out, I only published half of what I'd wanted. December looks similarly paced (with two projects I realistically want out this month, despite already being a third through December ... with plenty of commission deadlines piling up. So what's happened between Nov 17 and Dec 9? Besides some work on the Batman toon, and character design and prep for a (personally anticipated) Sonic parody, character designs and storyboards for a short television toon, a completed corporate commission clocking in at 2mins, and now prep for a third commission due later this month (really not sure how this one is gonna pan out time-wise). So despite my silence ... the days have been full. What's happening December 10 through the end of the month? Finishing Batman, one way or another. Getting the Sonic parody audio completed for the collaborating animator. Finishing this month's third commission (which will find its way to my channel a few months later). The television spot will mostly be animated near the end of Dec and through Jan. And whatever voicing and web design work I still have on my plate. Not exactly sure how it's all gonna actually happen hahahah, but I just gotta keep pushing. Again, I apologize if my personal activity (as well as streams and hangouts) have taken a dive in the last couple weeks, I'll hopefully be back to my usual chatty-cathy pretty soon. Just have to outline a gameplan for tackling this month and keeping everybody happy. Love you guys, and will be in touch. Like your butt. I'mma touch your butt. ok. M
