Knowing how long she'll live for, she dreads the guaranteed future Mikoto will no longer be there for her. The reason she asks Luto this is because, as he detailed, he once had a master that he loved and cherished too. Luto has already experienced what Tomoe fears to come. (FYI, this is all speculation, not spoilers) OF course, Luto mentions a 3rd option. The two options are Mikoto goes home, or Mikoto dies in old age. The 3rd option hints that perhaps to achieve his goal of travelling between worlds freely, he will also become immortal and never have to leave her side? 33:00 Not hypnosis because Tomoe can read his mind.
