We're finally at the end of the month, and as promised, here's a new devlog so you check what I've been cooking and how the progress is going!
As usual with progress reports, I'll try to keep it short and to the point!

The current development is about 75% complete. As I’ve mentioned before, this update is easily going to have the most hours of content so far!
Here are the current numbers:
1102 new renders
55 new animations
10.5K new lines of code, with over 4500 new lines of dialogue
As many of you know, I’ve been focusing on finding a better balance with my work to prevent burnout and ensure I can continue developing the game with the same passion I had when I first started. However, that doesn't mean I'm not working hard on the game. I want to reassure you that I’m still putting in just as much effort, if not more.
In addition, the renders are now more polished, which naturally takes extra time. While 99% of you have always been incredibly supportive and understanding about the development pace, I sometimes can’t help but worry that some could feel I’m not fully committed. We've all seen other developers start projects just to abandon them halfway, but you can be sure: that will never happen here.
I'm not always fully inspired, productivity can fluctuate, unexpected things can happen (just this previous week some personal issues made me unable to work for 3 days) and even when I'm putting in the same amount of hours, I can't always produce +40 renders a day as I'd like to.
However, I promise to always be transparent about my progress, and I’ll ALWAYS be here to respond to your messages and comments. I love the community we’ve built around my games, and I’ll never stop striving to deliver the best work I can 💗

Now, on a more exciting note!
All that said, I’m still aiming to release the update before Christmas, which means we’re officially in the last stretch!
I expect the full update to have over 1,500 renders. There will be 4 lewd scenes—2 are already complete, and the third just needs a few more days of work!
In version 0.8, we’ll continue our adventure on the pirate server, but also explore brand-new worlds, and, of course, spend some quality time with our favorite girls! I've commissioned a few add-ons that I think will add a lot to the game, and the main plot will also take some intriguing twists that I can’t wait for you to experience 😈
You’ll also notice the harem dynamic starting to take shape more clearly, with new interactions between the girls (without forgetting of one-on-one moments too, don't worry).

The game, unexpectedly for me, was one of the best i’ve played. I enjoyed the story, visuals and dialogue options. Some text lines made me laugh, some made me scared etc. I had only one game that i enjoyed so much, now i have two of them and well, i have to wait for update. For the last sentence, i must say that it’s me who will gather all 10 gems of doom 🫡

The animations are impressive and even the ones outside of sexual scenes. The dialogue is hilarious and legit fun to read. I still replay your previous game. This one will be the same. Story sucks you right in as one you can’t put the book down.. in this case the keyboard or mouse. I’m sure this requires a lot of your time to make it all as good as it is, so as long as you keep at you will have your fans eager for updates. Besides I work too so not like I can read right away or have the time to. I follow many creators and you’re one of my favorites. Look forward to updates. I will be checking periodically! Good luck and keep sharing your talent with us. PS I too love the random characters in your story that gives me a chuckle.

This game has always been my number 1 favorite avn just due to the sheer amount of world building, exceptional story telling and how easy it is to like and dislike the characters, you are an exceptional content creator. Please keep doing what you do, and dont stress yourself out, id like to think most people here would agree with me when i say your health matters above all else, as excited as i am for this update please get plenty of rest as well as theres no use getting new updates if you make yourself sick over it

2024-10-03 07:20:24 +0000 UTCI recently searched - and found - the OST of Eternum on youtube, kinda. A channel called 'Dead'. By 'recently', I mean like four or five days ago. So far, I re-listened to the entire 190-ish list five times. The comment sections are pretty fun as well. And the memories. Oh my gosh, the memories. 'Ah, right, this was that scene! Pretty funny!' There's so many individual pieces there that I would never have listened to without external push. 'Not my genre', and similar excuses. But now I listen to them, and they are tied to such fond memories and generally great moments and I just can't stop grinning sometimes. The piece that plays when Nova just takes out her rocket launcher? I heard it. I associate it. I have this mental image of her just going WILD, and every single time, I just grin like an idiot because that scene actually made me say out loud 'that's my girl!' It's hilarious. I actually had to force myself to stop listening to the OST today so I wouldn't get impatient with the update. And the music made me curious once more about your creative process, Caribdis. Every piece seems to fit its respective scene just so, so well. Makes me wonder. Do you write/animate the scene and search for the music? Do you find the music and fit the scene to it? How in the world do you manage such a great balance and such perfect fits time and time and time again! And I'm not even sure if I want these questions answered, just out of fear it might dispel the magic somehow. But goodness, it's great. Your story lives. It breathes and grows and develops and that's just... beautiful. It's beautiful. Thank you.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the remainder of this game, and I'm hoping you find the comfort and drive to continue making work even after Eternum. That being said... I can't get enough of Luna, so I think I'll struggle to find another character in future games to adore to that extent!

Take your time to breath fresh air often as you need we are not about the quality of game going down we know you do you're absolute best to give the best each update. Each update has been far better and more intense then the last one so I'm always excited to see what could and will happen next, always at the edge of my seat.

It doesn't do you any good if you get burnout. But the fact that you keep worrying that maybe you haven't worked enough shows that we and your game are important to you. BUT: it's better to do less sometimes. And time off is important, especially for developers who do everything on their own. And don't worry, we all work differently every day. Sometimes we are super productive, sometimes nothing works at all. And I don't think you're going to abandon the game. I don't get that vibe from you. I particularly like the harem route. I'm so excited to see how it turns out 😍 I'm also sure that the next update will be awesome again. And I can hardly wait to see all our ladies again. But as an avid AVN fan, I know quite well that quality takes time. I'll do my best to wait, anxiously 🤣 That being said, all the contents of this Dev update are awesome and love the new looks you've given the stuff you previewed! Excited to see where you take us next, and SUPER happy to hear the harem route is taking the next logical steps! On a final note, I was enthralled to see Stabby Mike make an appearance in the latest chapter of Ripples!!! I've told you how much that char means to me, and sure we've still got Chang, but there's always going to be a special place in my heart for Stabby Mike! Love the cameos between games, keep it up! 🙏

2024-09-30 15:57:59 +0000 UTCNormally I don't care much about outside visuals (menus, transition effects etc), but I gotta say this one adds a lot, the whole game look more professional and smooth (and taking into consideration how much time we spend playing it, these new menus will be used a lot) - so great job Cari, it's a well implemented addition! Also, good to hear you're taking care of yourself (or at least trying to :P), you have to remember about your mental health in this development struggle ;)
