WPAtaMS Official Art: Quest Map Update 1!

Hey everyone!

So ever since I started reading sci fi and fantasy, I’ve always had this fascination about those types of stories — both paperback and online — that had maps and visual illustration references incorporated in them! 

I’m especially a massive fan of when authors use like ‘live’ maps showing adventuring parties or exploratory fleets moving around a map, as it not only grounded the world and gave much needed visual illustration on something as large and difficult to visualize as local geography, but it also added like this layer of worldbuilding that I just LOVE to explore!

From the way the map is drawn up which almost always hints at who drew the map in-universe, to the little drawings, sketches, etc that make it feel like it’s something the characters actually use in universe — I’m just obsessed over every aspect of these in-universe travel maps!

AND NOW THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO FOLLOW IN THIS DREAM!

Here we have a local map of the Kingdom of Transgracia!! :D Or at the very least, the central region of the Kingdom in a map that’s a bit more scaled down than the one that Sym’s adventuring party had used! 

It’s focused primarily on giving the lay of the land from Transgracia all the way up to the North Rythian Forests, and its surrounding regions! 

Here we see everything from the fabled Lake Ethalsyd (from which Chiska had hinted at a past disastrous magical escapade gone wrong!), to the ever glorious Transgracian Academy for the Magical Arts and its associated Crown Herald Town of Elaseer! As well as our intended destination — the dangerous North Rythian Forests, complete with dragons and the eponymous HERE BE DRAGONS line Emma just HAD to scribble on XD 

We also have the Township of Sips, and the two little chibi stickers of both Thalmin and Emma, both of whom will be shown traveling along the path as the Everblooming Blossom arc continues! :D As in, I will be posting small status updates on the map, mostly of the pair (represented by the stickers) traveling along it to show their position at any given point during this arc! :D 

There’s also some other locations on the map that the pair might not visit, but have been mentioned, and are definitely going to be visited by the likes of the other would-be adventurers on the Quest for the Everblooming Blossom such as the Spa town of Nilesypools! :D 

Though in addition to this, there are also locations that may become pertinent in the future that have yet to even be mentioned at this point in the story! ;D As well as locations perhaps not even shown on the map!

I absolutely LIVE for these sorts of things, and I genuinely hope you guys love this map as much as I do since it’s like a dream come true to finally be incorporating this sort of thing into the story! :D
