Listen when I tell you I’m so excited for this season…. I dead ass had to rewatch some scenes just because they were that good. Honestly, I’m shocked we started off this season with Buffy teaching Dawn how to slay vampires.
However, I did say hopefully we’ll see her teaching Dawn this season. I’m just so impressed about the way this season is ending with everything coming back to the beginning. Hands down best scene was the villains showing up 10/10. MASTERPIECE

I remember just sitting in silence after this episode ended. The way the episode starts and ends on the same line: "It's about power" and the return of the high school and Buffy training Dawn the way Giles used to train Buffy. This is my fave season opener--only s2 comes close.
