Buffy The Vampire Slayer 3x11 “Gingerbread” Reaction

Enjoy me trying to over talk the thunderstorm that was happening outside my window. It got worse at the end when I did my review lol and my allergies was really wild today especially when I just got my first dosage the day before. So ignore the sneeze and nose itches lol.

But anyways, this episode was hilarious. I didn’t expect to see Joyce actually want to witness the slaying due to her indifference towards it. However, I’m annoyed the first time she stays to support her daughter nonsense happens 🥴. I truly cannot even understand how it took me an arm and a leg to puzzle the gingerbread and two kids concept together. I actually assumed they was going to turn into an actual gingerbread, but I somewhat had the right idea (with the original story).

Let alone the way Buffy killed the demon and nobody answered when she said did she kill it 🤣. There was tooooo many funny liners, Cordelia mentioning how Giles is always unconscious, Xander and him worrying about Oz, Oz saying Xander and him were there to save Buffy, and the ending with the spell. This episode said “let’s deliver some laughter”.

This episode almost played me with thinking Willow was out here sacrificing children. Like why the time Amy and them decide to use that symbol— that’s when the demon decide the appear or maybe it was due to them playing with that symbol that conjured up the demon by accident. Regardless of the scenario they had me in the first half not going to lie.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer 3x11 “Gingerbread” Reaction

I do enjoy this episode, but I've always had a weakness for episodes in shows where the good guys are suddenly turned on. And it is a VERY funny episode. Realistically this would take a lot longer than one episode but they had to rush it a bit which is why some people don't like it, I think, because it doesn't feel as organic as it might. I particularly enjoy Giles and Joyce awkwardness, Cordy + Giles, Oz and Xander working together (when the chips are down they can come together despite everything), all the tough guys at school being scared of Buffy, the return of Amy, meeting Willow's mum (who makes Joyce look like parent of the year), the ending :D

Not my favorite episode, I find the witch-hunt metaphor a little too on the nose. But your reaction always elevates a re-watch. LMAO the whole reaction, as usual. That scene in the lunchroom with Xander, Oz and Willow is one of the longest, most awkward pauses ever.
