In this poem Gin switches the roles with Rangiku turning her into the snake. Gin is trying to see it from Rangiku perspective he’s trying to see if everything he has done for his love is worth it . The price he’s paid to protect her smile and stop her from crying was it all worth. He’s wondering if he can love her and be accepted by her after betraying the soul society and killing innocent people . He’s putting himself in her shoes to see if he could lover her if she did wrong for his sake. In the end his final moments where spent watching her cry the very things he was trying to prevent.
